Day 24

Good news and bad news today. Good news is I am 30th for a longtail I have been using GSA to rank so it looks like that is working. This has brought a bit more traffic but still no conversions. Now for the bad news, it has been 5 days since I lost all the rankings for my main keywords and it isn't showing signs of improving. The main page of the site doesn't rank for anything now.

I have been trying to figure out why it suddenly dropped and the only thing I can see is it coincides perfectly with when I put adsense on the site. I put adsense on the main page on the 7th of august and it disappeared on the 8th. I was thinking it might be the backlinks but all my other pages are still ranking and even improving and I haven't changed anything else.

I don't know if i'm being paranoid but I've taken adsense off now and I'm hoping it will bounce back soon.

My beta site which has barely anything on it recently popped up in the top 100 for a longtail so that is promising. Other than that nothing else to update, thanks for following.

Day 25

Nearing on a month now and progress has slowed. This is 100% my fault as with my other work I am having a hard time staying motivated. I'm not going to quit though I just have to get a better plan going forward so I always have a clear idea of what I have to do. I tried that before and thought I had a solution but it fell apart fast. This journey is really making it apparent how important planning is to get the best and fastest results.

I did very little again today but I did get a couple of important things done. I finally figured out why my scrapebox wouldn't work and it is now fixed and I have made a few high pr links with it. My main page is still gone from the SERP's and I am a little worried as it is a week now since it disappeared.

That's is really all for this update, tomorrow I am going to properly plan my next moves so I can start being more productive although next week I may have to put the journey on hiatus as I am going away for the week.
 
Day 26

As I said yesterday I needed to plan the process better. So today I have extensively written down what I will have to do and how I am going to do it. Basically all I did today was write down my plans. I also watched some more tutorials on GSA. Some good news is my main page is ranking for a longtail again, after 8 days it popped back up the bad news is it isn't for my two main kws. I think that this will mean they will start ranking again soon.

Reading back over my journey I realised this last week has been extremely unproductive, and next week I'm going to be away and unable to update so that is annoying to have wasted it but I can't dwell on the past. This is why I'm taking my planning to the next level after I get back. Tomorrow I will be setting up a new method for keeping track of progress so I know what I need to do next. I'm am following your journey also, keep pushing for at least six months and see what happens. I just started a adsense site myself and am shooting for 5 dollars a day when it starts ranking well. Wish you luck on your journey. Stay motivated
 
Day 27

Ok tomorrow starts my week long break. I set up my methods for what to do when I get back. I have a much clearer plan now and this should lead to a more productive journey. That is all I was planning to do today as I had to work. Thanks for following, cya in a week
 
Update

I'm back, I went for 1 week and after I came back I could not find the motivation to start working on my sites again.
Left it for over a month but I realise now I shouldn't have and don't want this to turn into another failed journey thread

Good news is I checked my serpbook rankings after over a month and the results are actually quite surprising. Two 4000+ search keywords are in the 60's. I have three more search terms in the low 30's that all get around 500 searches a month. So now because of this I'm going to focus solely on one site until it is ranked and getting good traffic then move on. I think this had a lot to do with why I gave up earlier. My plan for the next month is purely SEO and content adding. Going to try and add 10 articles to the site over the month and optimise it.

Today I started SEO and created 5 unique web 2.0 properties for my keyword. These are going to be the basis of my first tier and I will GSA to strengthen them. Got a pretty solid plan for my SEO that I saw on the gsa forum so i'll start implementing that over the month and try to get the main 2 keywords in the top 10 before November.

Update

Just sticking to SEO atm. I have made and started backlinking to my first tier. Almost enough posts so I can start posting my ranks and backlinks.
Not much to update as all I have been doing is playing around with GSA.
 
Update #1

After having a month break it has been a struggle to get into a routine and actually do some work. Finally I've got my sh!t together and have started working consistently. So an update on the sites, Site 1 is where focus is solely atm. I started working on too many things and I didn't get anything done so I'm just going to work on one site till its ranking and move on.

I had some decent rankings with 3 keywords just short of the top ten but after some GSA they have disappeared. Only happened a couple of days ago so i'm guessing it wasn't the panda update and it is just google dance. I am just going to keep backlinking for now and wait for it to change. I've added 3 of the 10 articles I wanted to add for this month.

I had to renew hosting so that's even more money I've spent with no earnings but I guess that's my fault for quitting. Anyway, that's all I've done this week. Just trying to increase my work ethic after seeing some of the other journey threads and what they are doing daily. Thanks for reading.
 
Update #2

A few of my rankings came back but they are worse than when they disappeared. Not much I can do about that though.
Added another article to the site. Just trying to add content to make the site look more legit and less like a sh!tty adsense site.
Cleaned up a lot of the articles and tried to add a formula to make it look more professional. Also added a lot of images as I hear they help
Finally I've just been running GSA in the background. I still have no real understanding of what i'm doing with it but I'm not really bothered if this site dies as its my first.

That is all I did today, just trying to get in a consistent amount of work everyday so I don't quit again. I've seen studies saying 2-3 months is how long it takes to form a habit so I thought I may as well aim for that. Anyway, thanks for reading
 
Update #3

Added another article today and starting to make the site look semi professional. Still haven't added adsense as last time I did my rankings disappeared the next day. My rankings are still down from what they were, i'm hoping my work with GSA didn't ruin them.
If my rankings dont come back within a week or so I might buy another BST service just to add some quality links. Still im hesitant as I have invested a decent amount for 0 returns so far.
I probably won't update tomorrow as I will be too busy, thanks for reading
