Hi guys!
After operating a content writing business for a long time and working with multiple affiliate marketeers, I've finally decided to launch one of my own projects.
The objective? Revenue: $2,000/month by February 2022.
I used to be in this affiliate marketing business around 6-7 years ago when Clickbank used to be quite famous, but then just started tilting full time towards content and never really got back to affiliate marketing till now. Special thanks to a very good friend of mine who I met on BHW who motivated me to take it back on and whose working with me on this project as-well!
The recent site focuses purely on revenue generation through Amazon commissions, and we've kicked it off with registering a fresh domain. Please do note that I've carefully chosen a niche to ensure that none of my NDA's or Non Competes are impacted (since I work with affiliate marketeers in my other line of business). Similarly, none of the clients who I'm serving presently have been active or are active in the current niche.
So here it goes..
We recently registered a fresh domain (around a month ago). Even though a lot of people suggested that we take an old expired domain, we just found the domains on the niche we're targeting to be overpriced and were not really able to find what we were looking for and thought we could easily get out of the sandbox effect if we were patient for the next 2-3 months and continued to add content and work on foundational links.
Our current plan is to add around 80,000-100,000w per month on the site with a mix of 60% Reviews and 40% Info content. We have so far added about 70k words in May and will continue to add each month. (20-30k was added in the last day or two so is not visible in the impressions below)
Guest posts / back links we'll start once the site starts to age since we don't want to be too pushy with google.
Quite pleased with the first round of content that we've published as it has indexed easily and is already starting to see impressions within 3 weeks. Next aim is to add links and start interlinking to support ranking and move up the ladder.
