[ Journey ] IG Journey from a scratch by a total Newbie!

Hello BHW! [ English is not my native language ]

Let me introduce myself; I am in my mid 20s designer. I just signed up yesterday. I found this website when i was searching for IG growth methods. And i was totaly shocked after spending a complete night in here reading posts about almost any topic. Since couple of months i was thinking about creating 4 to 5 quality niche IG accounts under one brand name and growing them. After searching dozens of mentorship offers and ebooks, eventually i ended up here.

How much do i make now and why i want to start create an IG page?

I own a local design studio in my city. I have around 6~7 design staff which working. I design and contruct my projects. I am already making about 4000~5000$ a month from my business after taxes and expenses, but im working almost 18 hours "EVERY SINGLE DAY!" and i cant move a step away from my office, city or country. And my revenues is bound to my teams and subcontractors performence. Something that i cant control. But after around 8 years in my industry i was totaly overwhelmed by stucking in an office. Not able to collecting my project costs efficently ( since its related to construction, we are always paid in parts ). Trying to manage all the stuff, construction workers, unsatisfied customers, never ending demands, being stuck in the same city and heavy PR and self advertisement prices, i slowly started to think about another alternative. An alternative which i dont have to stuck in my office or city, or deal with customers never ending demands. But most importantly; when i dont work in the office for 2 days, every single ongoing project is be ruined due lack of managment. A business that i can run from internet, and partly automate some procedures.

What is my plan?

I am thinking about a quality, hand picked and designer curated online magazine accounts. I created 9 niche accounts under the same brand name. I bought the brand name domain and all the social network extensions ( IG TW FB SC KIK PINTEREST etc. )
I plan to grow all 9 niches under same brand for more professional approach. I will not try to monetize or advertise them before reaching 300~400k followers. Before playing with fire, i will try to make everything manual and organicly as possible it can be. ( i wonder how many days later i will change my mind after reading posts in here. )
After reaching over 500K followers on each account, i will read from beggining to end about IM in BWH and see what is best to monetize these accounts.

My main goal is not to make money on this project. My main goal is to learn about Internet Marketing for my own education.

What is my strategy?

No haste, i will go step by step in this path. But i am kind of person who likes to execute things!

Username and Brand : I designed all my brand identity professionally. Usernames are all "niche+brandname" format without any "_" or "." in all 9 accounts.Logos tested on both desktop, android and IOS screens.

Content : I have a really deep knowledge in my niches so i know the quality content when i see. So page content will be handpicked from designers, for designers.I will create an eye cathcing IG page overall look. Not "another design page".
I already employed one of my staff for finding quality content from; brands and designers page. HD images only. i will not repost same stuff from big pages. instead, when i have opportunity i will task one staff for each niche to find top quality content.

Hashtags : I searched for top pages hashtags. But since they are oversaturated, i will try to find more niche and less saturated hashtags. I am commenting my hashtags as my first comment to keep my captions clean as possible. I have 3 sets of hashtags in each niche. I will make A B tests after i reach 10K followers in each niche. I am Open for offers to finding and testing quality hashtag sets.

Captions : i will try to keep every single caption in 3 lines;
-Project name
-Project Owner
-[ For future shoutouts or i any other related thing ]

Managing and Engagement : I am already spending around 16 18 hours for my local business . But until my first 20K followers i want to take care of my pages personally and try to stay organic and manual as much a possible. I will try to give 2 hours a day personally for this task.
-I am open for Managing Service Offers as long as they are at rational prices.

I have contacts with industry leaders by person and i have contacts with 1M+ account owners in my niches by person but i dont want to spent my credits before i learn about IG business.


I dont want to write more and make this post a novel, but i am happy to be here and i want to share my experience and mindset as a newbie. Try to stay motivated under the pressure of announcing my goals. I will start with my two pages until i learn about IG more.

I now started to read , Influx by IGKing and i will share my thoughts as a newbie and see how much it will help in my path.

So i just finished reading Influx guide in 2 nights. I must say, there are really powerful information there. Especially if you just started to IG and IM. And just as i tought and believe, the guide is strongly supports staying organic and most importantly having a good content. Everything besides can be automated. Thats gonna be the tricky part in my journey too. Posting killer content every single time.

But i must underline something in here. Its a big sea and hard game in general (in IG and IM) but as i mentioned, the main focus in this journey will not gonna get rich quick. Rather then it will be a nice path on the learning about marketing and IG. And i am really impressed that the guide is actually not only teaching about IG, but it teaches you how to think like a marketer. Most of the information can be used in your local business or other advertisement instruments as well.

I can see that this journey gonne be long, but i dont feel overwhelmed. I can already see that, i will learn lot about both local and online advertisement, and many other stuff in this journey. And i must say that this is actually a nice thing to spend time for.

As you know i just started to warm up my account, i just started to organicly follow people and interact with them from my niche. This post is not an update but , in case if you wonder;

And honestly you will have to inject some fake shit for the start.
It will help you get on explore during first few months.

In a few months you can get rid of all the fake shit and become the Jesus that you are trying to be.
When in the end it really doesn't fucking matter.
Who would you prove yourself to?
Look at ALL THE FUCKING brands on IG.
Name them all.
Brands. Celebrities.
All of them have millions of fake followers.
I just read one news that Katy Perry has over 50% fake followers.
I didn't believe it so I ran my analysis and they were wrong.
Over 70% of her followers are fake.
Take brands into consideration.
Everyone is sitting with fake shit.

You have to stop looking for 'experts' and 'books'.

Hello there my dear friend, firstly thank you for taking your time to reading my journey and share your comments. i am greateful for your critics. I would like to share my own ideas and mindset, and try to advance my journey.

I can clearly see that lots of social media accounts are fake and bots. And different social media groups trying to fight with it. We know they cant finish, but as publicly they fight with bots and fakes; they are underlining the importance of quality and organic pages. Giving more value to more organic pages. Companies are smart, they know the difference between 250K organic page and 1M fake page.I am not trying to save the IG world in this journey. Or this is not a get rich quick journey. I am greatful for your comments i know that you are trying to help me.

But as i mention before, this journey is about learning the basics of IG, IM and online interactions. Trying to learn more about online engagement and learning the mindset of an online marketer.

As i spend time more and more in here, i can see that building a 100K follower page in one month is really easy with bots and types of services. Please dont mis-understand me, but as i said before i already have an offline business about construction which is sucessful. I can easily invest 15.000$ by tomorrow for my IG accounts growth. But i will not be learning even basics of IG and IM. I am trying to solve online content consumers and peoples online buying decision psychology. What leads to follows, interactions or more importantly sales.

Am i gonna do this all the time fully organic or in white hat modes? no.. But before i play with fire, i should learn deeply about the game i guess. If i dont know my target audiance and follow or interest range, i cant set any bot properly for my benefit. Eventually i will make my accounts go ban. I have time, staff and money for investing in this project. I will try to go safely and understand everything by applying myself step by step. i am saying again, i am not a university student who try to make an instagram empire by this summer. I am well known business man in my city and i am open for all kind of managment and education service offers from all types of methods and friends from here.

Page One : 21 Follower 110 Following
Page Two : 34 Follower 74 Following

So i these days, i am trying to find and consume every single bit of information around and test them. First week is warm up week and for my basic education. I already spent lots of time in forums and blogs, its still early for setting goals.

I only started to follow and like people. different type of accounts are responsing different. I dont know if its because of the content, or different account targets, but Page two seems responding more to following and liking specific pictures then my Page One.

They are both under the same brand name, same logo family, same quality content and matching bio and caption layout. But page one is targeting supplier and company accounts with 1 to 5K followers. Page two is targeting personal accounts with 150 - 350 followers.

I can understand the peoples psychology about following. They are too snob to follow an 10K below account. I have my business account with 15K. I will do the same method for both target audience and see how they will react with same content but different follower rank.

When you think like you are learning a new instrument to play, its more fun process. Mindset shouldt be like "when i will have my 500K followers?" i will try to approach things like more businessman. Maybe i will end up with automating everything in couple of months, but before i wanna experience the basics personally. Thanks for reading dear friends

I don't recommend the method to doing everything fake either.
But its much beyond this.
As you said you are on your journey so you will learn in good time.
PS - One of my main accounts have only 21k and I too have plenty of money but I don't buy followers.
However - I get 12,000 likes and 300+ comments. Haha.
You do the math.

Have trained 2 people so far. And yes - FOC.
Got plenty of money. Don't need anymore.
Someone even PM'ed me offering cash. I told them they're making a mistake.
Told them to take their cash to bullshit scammers who sell shoutouts and power-likes. Haha.

So... here's the truth. Your accounts won't hit 300 - 400K seeing that it's very "business" like. Why I'm saying that it's because it's a "business oriented" account. Instead more of a "fun" account.

I have to attach to those accounts because i gathered 9 of them in the same "magazine" branda name, took its domain name, curated their brand identities etc etc. I even think about sponsoring a local design event under that account names. I am really thinking in long term about those accounts. So maybe i should read more about security. I dont have any luxury of losing that accounts.

I am not planning to make it another inspiration page in the IG ocean. selling ads or shoutouts. I dont know or plan how to monetize, but i am totaly against the idea about how to make a 50 dollars a day from your 50k account. I will try to avoid being cheap as much as possible. Will try to keep the party as long as i can
