I don't think so, whats AMP?

Glad it could help :).

It's apparently a new ranking factor google is working on. It can load articles that are like 20,000 words almost instantaneously

Never heard of it tbh. So is it some form of hosting?

Hi @Shaunm, nice to see the Amazn sites earning money. A couple of questions I f you don’t mind:

  1. Are you applying any silo-type structure on your Amazon sites?
  2. Do you do much formatting to the money site articles or just publish them through Scrapebox?
Thanks.

1 - I published this post on SILOing Wordpress a few month back, but I don't think it does much more than regular internal linking in all honesty and regular internal links are much quicker so thats what I am doing with my sites.
2 - Money site articles are all manually posted and formatted, the BN/PBN stuff on T1 is what I post with Scrapebox.

I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Hope it helps you with your sites :).

Think you may have answered this already....for the BN, how many Web 2.0 T2/T3 have you built to each domain in the bridge network?

Thanks.

Very few and in all honesty I really don't know :P, its one of the things to do on my list if I reach $1000 a month on amazon.com. My guess is more T2 links to the BNs should help with some of the money pages that have stopped climbing but are currently on mid/low first page.

Thanks. I’m just finalising my plans for my existing/new niche sites and plan to move away from a lot of the services on here.

On your BN/PBN, do you monetise these sites at all? Do you also make them niche specific to your money site or are they more “general”?

Thanks!

Yea the BST is usually a waste of time in my experiences with what I suspect are a bunch of shill accounts leaving reviews and bumping threads, theres also BST sellers who post fake review counts in their threads to make themself look more popular/successful then they are to scam more people. One service I have used for years and plan to keep using is this manual web 2.0 submission service though (I waved my commission with them in favour of getting my blog readers the 10shaunm coupon code for 10% off if you choose to try them), I send them my own content and basically use them like a VA to post the content for me rather than me having to go out and train someone myself and supply them with email addresses and stuff.

I have been tracking my PBN/BN traffic and they currently get around 300 hits per month so I don't see any reason to monotise them as there is a chance it could be an additional footprint risk. They are general magazine style sites that have categories on a wide range of topics so that I should be able to work the full network into any niche I decide to try out in the future.

When's the next update Shaunm?

I am currently only doing a major update at the start of each month but I have been busy this week with keyword research and the whole process is much quicker using AHRefs than I had planned so I am almost finished already.

I may do an update tomorrow as I am toying with the idea of starting a new site that is based around a model I havent tried before that also builds on everything I have learned so far. If I do go ahead with this site though I will probably use this site rather than trying to scale into a few different new ones in January as it will basically be a dry run for the templates of all future sites.

So I wasn't planning on starting any new sites until January but AHRefs was even quicker than I though for getting my next set of keyword batches together and I have finished already with 20 keyword packs for new sites. I have been brain storming some site plans and decided to tweak the way I build my sites and make a test site with these tweaks. If it all works then this will be the model I scale into, it basically uses everything I have learned since starting this journey and I don't expect to know if this new site has worked or not until June/July time.

One of the money pages I added to one of my money sites has managed to get on the front page of Google in around three weeks using only Bridge Network links and manual web 2.0s so its giving me more confidence that this new site should work. Its low competition and the lowest search volume out of that batch but theres another higher comp page currently at 11 and I'm hoping it jumps to the front page soon :).

  • Selected one of the niches I have keyword packs for and manually checked the keywords in it for my new site.
  • Sent out some initial content orders for the new money site. I am waiting for some of my writing team to get back to me about completing the T1 content for the Bridge Network and the manual web 2.0. When they do get back to me I will push the Upwork jobs out to them.
  • I have been going over my master spreadsheets and although I had started to diversify the hosting accounts of my money sites from the test network in this journey, the two that were successful are both on the same hosting account although its hidden via CloudFlare. I will build the new site on my digital ocean account so it is separate and delete the failed test sites from it.
  • Although my current main site is still powering on and managed to get a new all time high traffic pull a few days back, the other site seems to have dropped in traffic by around 20% and stagnated in growth. I half expect this site to fail as I tried a whole bunch of stuff on it back at the start of this journey. If it keeps it current traffic pull and RPM it should still be profitable in Q1 2018 so I am just hoping it lasts that long, although the traffic dropped a little it does seem to have stabalised though so I think it might just be a few of its money pages dropping in the SERPs.
  • I noticed a post of /r/trezor about being able to quickly claim my free Bitcoin Gold from the hard fork back in October. As the coin seems to be failing I have converted it into Ethereum for now but will probably convert it into OmiseGo if its price drops below the $7 per token point.
  • I have cut back on listening to Audible as I have had a run of a few bad/pointless books that has kind of put me off it but I will try to get back into it in the new year.
  • This thread has kind of turned into a bit of a Q&A now about the stuff I have been doing in this journey so it maybe worth reading if you are new to IM.

  • Just a small update, around two thirds of the content required for the new site has now been ordered with the first of it being delivered and posted today. The domain has been submitted to Google so the wait starts.
  • I had started to plan out another fresh site but I have decided to order 15 new money page articles for my main site to try and maximise income from it ASAP as I want as much free cash to put into new domains and buy OmiseGo tokens as I really think 2018 will be a strong year for it. As its domain is aged in with a bunch of keywords on the first page rather than having to wait through the sandbox effect with a fresh domain before cashflow starts so I should get more ROI doing it this way. I will still probably throw $100 worth of content on a new domain just to get the clock ticking though.
  • I have been planning some stuff for if I start uploading videos to my YouTube channel in the new year. As I have so much cash tied up in Crypto now I have decided to do it on the cheap using my iphone rather than buying the Canon I had planned. I did a few test videos just to check the sound levels and stuff and it seems like it should work fine for what I need. I did realise that I need a tripod though so ordered a cheap amazon basics one for £5. When it turns up I will spend some time messing around with it to try and work out the best way to move forward with it. I have also started going through my Trello and Pages to thin out the notes I have made for the channel.
  • Cleaning out my analytics I found/remembered a random very small niche site with around 10 how to based keywords that I built a few month back. I didn't expect much but checked its analytics and its traffic is starting to climb. Its only a small site so will only ever make around $10 per month but the site only cost me $50 total. It also has zero backlinks built to it so it can serve as a zero backlink experiment before starting a larger one next year.
  • The larger test site that has a bunch of stuff tested on it had a bunch of keywords drop out of the SERPs on the 8th December for some reason, I checked over my notes for the keywords effected and can't find anything that links them with the offpage side of things. Thankfully, a few have jumped back today to the same rank they were and traffic is returning.
  • My main site has been powering on breaking its all time high twice this month already. I have just checked my SERP tracker and it has jumped into the top three for a keyword that apparently has over 40,000 searches. I have always been skeptical of this search volume as the competition is not too hard for the keyword but if the search volume is correct then I should notice a traffic spike in the coming days analytics.

Not a proper update, although Algoroo is showing clear, there seems to have been some random update on the 12/13 of December. I noticed my traffic suddenly dropped that day a little but SERPLab were having problems with their system again so I was unable to check my SERPs until today. A few keywords have dropped from the top 3 to mid/bottom first page but other than that, nothing much has happened. I am hoping that they will climb back up over time but its just a case of watching to see what happens now.

To try and minimise my reliance on SEO I have been researching POS cryptos and although I have been putting money into OmiseGo and Ethereum, I plan to increase my monthly buy depending on how badly my domains have been hit. The plan is to use SEO to try and get as much cash as possible to put into POS cryptos and have my income split between the two so if one fails or has an update, the other should be able to prop me up until I sort the other one out.

Doing Decembers update early as I doubt I will be any fit state over the next few days due to New Years Eve. Due to the rollout on the 12th, I will probably start daily updates again as I have had to up my workload a whole bunch to try workout what to do. I will probably start uploading to my YouTube channel in early January and do some kind of video format progress report monthly in addition to a bunch of other stuff.

  • So I ordered and paid for a bunch of content ready to start scaling in early December only for Google to rollout an update on the 12th that hit my sites. I posted on juststart about how it has effected my sites. To try and counter the update I have pulled ads from one of the domains to test if it recovers in the SERPs, reduced adsense blocks from 6 to 2 on one of my legacy domains and reduced links from 28 to 10 on one money page as well as rethought my offpage for some tests.
  • Even though it was hit on the 12th, my main site is now profitable. The second site will probably take a few month yet due to being hit harder by the update but its still getting sales. The two sites made more than I thought they would in all honesty so I am happy, I doubt the will make much in January due to people wanting to save their cash after spending so much over the holidays.
  • I ordered a bunch of content to start scaling before the rollout, I have had it delivered and set the site up but slightly changed my offpage for it.
  • I have started testing a new offpage method but it will cost around $400 per keyword I try it on so I am having to re-design how I build my sites for the ground up. It should be easy enough to do though for future sites. Starting to write some tier one content myself from now on to try and kept keep the costs down.
  • My crypto holdings peaked at +180% gain in the middle of the month but the correction has brought it down to +122%. I have also increased my Ethereum holdings as well as have some ETH ready to convert into OMG when there is a good conversion ratio. I have started to research Cardano in my downtime so I might convert it into that instead of OMG. I was airdropped some free VIU and XNN due to holding ETH but they are pretty worthless right now so I will just hold onto them to see what happens.
  • Ordered a bunch of stuff for my YouTube channel such as tripods, a microphone and a light.
  • As I don't use the majority of tools that were on my digitial toolkit post on my blog anymore, I rearranged it and changed all of the banner ads from product based ones to $10 free bitcoin ones. I have two short posts ready for the new year, one going over my crypto toolkit, one going over my youtube toolkit with a few more planned.
  • Setup all of my Google alerts as RSS and imported them into Reeder ready for traffic leaking my YouTube channel and blog in the new year.
  • Decided to try and shake the C&B mindset and look at my sites as an investment rather than quick money. Not looking for quick ROI anymore, not bothered if ROI takes two years if the site will be profitable for five years plus.

viewing your sites as an investment is golden. I like that. theres no need to be number 1 when 8th pays the bills.

I hope your authority site takes off well in 2018. Alcoholism is shitstorm, and depression is its piggy-backin bitch. what an ugly terror they make.

whats the total word count for your authority site, and how many images does it have? whats your plan to make it a success in 2018?

how many adsense ads are you putting per page? have you done everything you can to increase your rpm.
