Things Google knows through machine learning:
- Zits are pimples (we knew that)
- Pimples are a [medical condition], therefore they can be treated, which is basically the same as cured
- To cure pimples is to get rid of them
- Medication is one way to treat pimples
- Light therapy is also another treatment
- Further down the page we find acne, remedies and blemishes

I could go on and on but this should really be another thread. If you want to understand this stuff better there are desktop applications you can use to import a corpus(basically a ton of text) and watch your own computer start to tell you what things are the same and how they relate to each other.

can you please let me know or give me an advice about how to find new web 2.0? I do not mean how to scrape tumblr or blogspot, but how to find new platforms that have not been spammed yet. And how do you know if these can be re-registered. Thank you

You need to scrape dead ones and try to re register them. It takes a LOT of work, but can be done.

What I did is got a list of Web 2.0s and ran them through scrapebox for 404 errors or vanity checker errors, then try to re register them. I try about a dozen per property before adding them to the 'it works' or 'it doesnt work' pile.

Hi, i got a few questions ready for you LightningBlitz, i wanted to ask long time ago, but i wanted to start first and ask questions later.

I am aiming for quality, so i try to get as best possible web 2.0s. Curently i am scraping for tumblrs only and i got 30 in 2 days.

I try to get:
PA: 31+
TF: 1+ (most of the ones with TF i have are 5-10 but i grab less than that too)
RD: 20+

1. Most of the times when i find with PA40+ and TF10+ , i find them in PR N/A part of the scraped tumblrs. So i ignore it. I mean yeah i check them first when i do Vanity check but i ussualy find good ones in NA. Should i do that or PR is really important?
2. I do my scraping on Bing too. I noticed that i can put 500-1500 connections on Bing and it scrapes like a boss. Does that matter, Google or Bing? Since my logic says that tumblrs are tumblrs, no matter where i find them.
3. About filling them. What do you do? I mean, would few pictures and some spinned text be enough? Is it ok if i put link on image?
4. And on this example, what has more value. One tumblr is PA37/RD55/PR1 (mozR 1.2 and mozT 0) and other one is PA31/RD55/PR1 (mozR 4.4 and mozT 3.2). I am asking that because most tumblrs i scrape are TF/CF N/A . And since i use moz toolbar i get those metrics so i want to be clear are they any good.

Great metrics, PR is not updated publically and those are impressive state.

A tumblr or Web 2.0 with TF usually is a good one.

For number two, bing is a brilliant way to scrape. It does not matter, tumblr are tumblr.

You can just post an image and link in the content. That is how everyone uses tumblr, contextual links in tumblr looks weird.

As far as those metrics, Moz is fairly close to worthless in my book, so I would register both.

I will say you will make it in IM and SEO. Do not give up. That bing trick is something I do to scrape to get tumblrs other SEOs miss. It is a brilliant idea no one has shared (Or I have not seen it). You are using your head and will get success because you are thinking outside the box.

I did register them, and i have 2000 available ones to check today.
Im really glad moz doesn not mean anything so i will have a lot more of them today. I checked somethink like 1500 yesterday and pulled out 30 really great ones. Anyway, thanks again, you cleared some stuff for me

One more thing i wanted you to explain me. I saw that you mention OBL and i need to google that to check it out. But i saw something on page 3 or 4 when you said your best OBL is when the links get on page two...or something like that. Should i put links on page one or two for the best impact? Could you explain me that?

But one question regarding the exakt prcedure remains for me. You recommend to re-register tumblr accounts. How do I do it? You basically search for tumblrs which output a 404 and you then know that there is no content on the URL. So you assume, this could be reused. Then you head over to tumblr and create a blog with the same URl as the URL with the 404 you found before? Is that correct?

I do not want my URLs to roll off of page one. I have enough content for two pages, but want all my money site links to stay on page one.

I stared scraping for over blogs too. The ones i got till now are far more than great. The only downside is that there are not many of them, but its first scrape. More questions

1. Do you think that it would be good to make few fresh web 2.0s? All the ones i scraped are quite good 35-50 PA (with good RD/TF)
2. Should i use wayback machine to fill those really good ones with their original content? I am asking for non tumblrs, like this overblog for exampe

I would suggest Web 2.0 Diversity so I would create some Wordpress for example to make your network look more natural.

I could do that, i will need around 300 blogs...And i saw that you blast each article with 10. I will go 5 and see how it turns up, because kw's are easy-semi easy. I was thinking about 100 tumblrs and 200 rest, since tumblrs are easy to find. Yola is also good, i have few of those too, but they are rare, the ones i got are 40PA+... And yeah, since tripod is not available in vanity check, the only way to see which ones are available is alive check?

Yup, that is exactly right.

These expired Web 2.0s make the best links next to Guest Posts and PBN links, so just keep digging the expired ones up.

It can be a LOT of work to make new accounts but I would suggest a couple dozen wordpress blogs just because with built in URL shortener it makes 301 filters a breeze and are the easiest to power up.

Update: ROI for a PBN

It has been a while, and I am setting up the PBN for this venture. My back of the envelope shows I sold enough books to total 250 dollars in the black for this venture so that is the money I will be working with.

I have made enough for one month hosting and ten domains, well at least.

I am scraping the domains myself for this project so the cost is registration cost only.

The metrics I will be filtering these with are:

TF
TF to CF Ratio
PA
DA

That is it. I will also check the back link profiles of these sites as well.

The host I will be using is Easyblognetwork because I have a LOT of work to do and manually checking all the domains hosts is a HUGE pain. I spend about four hours a week in PBN up keep alone and that is not adding any new links. To avoid this in the future I will be using a simple host.

When registering domains I am using one account and using Who Is guard. I am paying about $10 per domain.

If you are crafty and are following the journey you can easily use domain coupons and make a bunch of accounts and get domains for $1 each. The only downside is next years registration will be EXPENSIVE.

What will I be using this PBN for to make money?

The point of this thread is a SEO business from the ground up, so I am gearing this towards clients. Due to this the most important part of the domains I am scraping is to have a lot of content on various topics so I can rank clients.

I will also be adding some new Tumblr blog links and other Web 2.0 links to act as buffer sites and get everything indeed fast.

Through the Parasites I ranked I have about $250, so domains and easyblognetwork will cost me about $150. That includes content via Easy Blog Network.

The $100 left will be used to buy GSA to eventually do tiered link building for clients.

Great journey, will follow (and read the 3 missing pages tomorrow).
In the meantime, time to dust off ScrapeBox.

You need to build back links to them.

The problem is Moz updates slowly, so PA will take a long time to update.

I was thinking of doing that. But buying Scrapebox and geting some of those nice PA40+ and RD1000+ blogs is much better solution, it is worth much more than those 67$.
