This is going to be purely informational in nature as I go through the process I went through when I starting SEO and IM. I am going to replicate my entire process and post any relevant information in this thread, including how and why I do something the way I do.

This journey starts with $0 start up money set aside just for this project. Any other funds used in this journey will be through earnings. The purpose of this is to help people with no capital turn it into something with hard work and reading.

The premise is simple of what I will be doing, this is a journey to create a system and process to rank sites. The sites I rank can be my own, or a clients. The only part that matters is I will be showing all the fun details to create networks to rank your sites. This is about creating a series of long term properties I can use to rank many sites with the only start up costs being used upfront. I will make some money off of doing this and I need to do it again anyways as I tapped most of my networks out.

This will require a bit of work and a little start up cash but it will be well worth it. Updates will not be super frequent because I am busy but I will update as often as possible and when something happens. Plus I am actually doing this with you (As a newbie would) and am not using funds from any other project to make this work.

You can follow along and try this if you want. I expect this to take six months to be 'complete' to a degree I am comfortable with.

The linear process is simple (And subject to change):

    1. Earn enough money for required programs.
    2. Purchase Required Program.
    3. Build Web 2.0 properties to rank.
    4. Build a PBN to rank.

The everything in between will be what programs I use, how quickly I make the money to go to the next step, and how i did it. This should be a good learning experience for everyone myself included.

Step One: Earn Enough Money for Scrapebox

I am doing this with you for the sake of being fair. Although I already have the capital, I wanted to actually do this myself like you would. The first process I do will require Scrapebox or another such service to scrape the web (I will get to this later). If you are here you have a computer, so I will not make enough money to purchase a computer first.

The fastest way to start playing the game is by getting an offline job. I will earn $100 to pay for Scrapebox, here is how I will do it:

    1. Fiverr

I have an old account on Fiverr with a few gigs I no longer do. Areas I can quickly flip to make money and I use are:

    - Selling Traffic (I buy $1 in traffic and sell for $5)
    - Fix WP Bugs
    - Website Review (User experience test of a website)
    - Article Writing
    - Amazon / Yelp Reviews (Although not too great with recent crackdowns)
    - Ect.

These are just some ways you can make the under $100 to buy Scrapebox with Fiverr. These are quick and do not require a lot of effort to get the ball rolling.

    2. Meatheads Method

Find a product and spam your link to forums and relevant groups in social media. If you pick a big ticket item and spam enough, you should only need a sale or two to make this method work. It will take some patience to make the first sale but this is very straight forward.

    3. Flipping items on Craigslist, Ebay or Amazon

This is a classic method of buying low and selling high. The secret I have found is buying products which are store exclusive and selling it to others for simplicity sake.

For example, some stores like Toys R Us, Target, Trader Joes, Sears and such have exclusive products people are willing to pay $$$ for. I know I did this with Toys R Us baby products. People love retailer exclusive items and would prefer to not use the stores website or the website does not offer it and it is in store only.

Sears has exclusive tools. Target have select 'fashion' collections. Trader Joes has exclusive food items. K Mart has exclusive Martha Stewart cooking products.

Recently a Minion movie came out and stores sold exclusive tic tacs. I bought one bottle for $3 and sold it for $20 online. Quick flip if you know where to look.

The best advice I have is go to the store and find any and all exclusive products a store would have in stock and go online and see what they are going for. List the product and when it sells, go buy the product and ship it.

Putting an item on Amazon someone in a specific region can not get is a huge market to make quick money with very little start up cost (Or none if you prefer) and are crafty.

    4. Freelancing

Either on BHW or a site like Upwork. You can find a quick an easy job which will net you a few dollars for a little but of work. People will always pay for content or reviews and you can make the money in a few days of grinding this out. You need to know what skills you have and use a fishing net to catch all you can. You never know what offer or job will work out and make you money.

    5. Beg for Money (On the corner works fine)

Okay, I get it. You want easy money. This journey thread is not for you. If you want to make it you need to work. If you can't get any way to make some start up cash you should get a 9 - 5 or collect bottles on the side of the road.

I will be focusing on earning enough money with Fiverr or product flipping to afford Scrapebox. If you want to skip the boring part of this where I actually make the money and buy the software go ahead. What I am focusing on now is re - activating my Fiverr Gigs and going to relevant Social Media groups and posting my fiverr link just as suggested in the Meathead method. I will be focusing on Gigs that require a little work out of me as possible but it will take a bit of time to get a few sales and make the money for Scrapebox. Once I do that I will update with the next step in the journey.

Next update will be as soon as I make the money, but expect a few days because I am busy with other things and cant just crank out 20 Fiverr Gigs in a night to make this money.

i made a quick research about what scrapebox is, if i'm getting this right you'll be making 100$ by the ways you listen so you can pay for scrapebox and rank up your main website and start getting money from it, if so your plan looks very clear, good luck

This is a journey to start with zero and make enough money to start a SEO business. Step one is scrape box.

As far as not earning the money if you are in Asia, that is why I am doing this by freelancing for the start up cash like a newbie would. The item flipping is the easiest way (which I would love to do) but it is not fair for everyone so I will do this the hard way.

Best way to make quick money freelancing is do the job well for less than anyone else. Find a niche you can get quick jobs with as little effort as possible. I am looking now to do homework or papers for kids online for $$$. I have a history degree and can crank out a properly formatted paper in a few hours for at least 50 dollars.

Everyone one should have at least one skill to start freelancing to get the start up funds.

This is more of a sharing journey. I have done this and need to do it again so I figure why not give back and post my process and give a road map for newbies to follow.

Anyways, back to making that $100 for Scrapebox like a newbie would...

    What I have done:

    Register on sites like:

    https://www.uvocorp.com/

The point of this is to pass the English requirement and get some jobs or leads to write papers for $$$$. At $13 + a page I plan on making the money I need in a day.

I have also done some sharing of Fiverr gigs in relevant Facebook groups and pimped my product that way. I have made a couple sales by posting to groups with people who I knew would by my gig just to give me a job. I guess you could consider that cheating?

I should have the $100 from freelancing after this weekend and then can start on the network building. Then we get into the good part of this journey, making money.

97 off their website now. It goes up every now and again. If I remember correctly it used to be 47.

    Times change fast.

I will not give up. I need to build other networks as my PBN and Web 2.0 networks are almost tapped out (Too high OBL) and it is expensive to keep outsourcing for limited gains.

So I will build this up and everyone can learn how I do things. It is a win win.

I will reply to posts and PMs later as I am on my phone. I was able to line up enough jobs to make the 100 by writing a research paper for a college kid offline. I told my girlfriend what I was doing and she told classmates who jumped at the chance to get out of a term paper.

I hand in the paper tonight and should get paid at about 5 pm my time and will post about scrape box.

I wanted to make the money all online but it is the same work I would have done online and did not require a 9 - 5 job so I will settle so I can keep this moving.

I now have the funds so will be starting with scrapebox shortly for the next update.

That is what I am trying to simulate, although poorely worded.

I hope so my friend. I know I will not quit and it will be long, so hopefully a lot is shared.

Just got the funds so the next update will include the first part of scrapebox.

    Update #2 - 'Purchase' Scrapebox

I earned enough money freelancing to pay for Scrapebox. I spent the better part of yesterday working on a multiple page essay for a history student at a local university.

I also sold a couple fiverr gigs for traffic / easy stuff.

In total I earned more than the $100 to buy scrapebox with very little 'IM' or 'SEO' ability. In fact, I used an off line skill and leveraged it. For the Fiverr promotion I used a variant of meatheads method and posted in relevant groups and the sales came pretty easily.

Since I already own Scrapebox, I will be typing out what I am doing and updating with a post, hopefully tonight. Tomorrow I will be going to the Apple Orchard and doing some family stuff (This is why we do IM, so we have the time and money to live life) so I do not expect a lot of work to get done, but I am working on this now. Hopefully I find some domains and can post up a guide shortly.

For people who do not have the funds to get started, step two should show you that all you need to do is twist what you read and apply it to your skill sets. Not rocket science to say the least.

Find relevant social media groups your fiverr gig would work in and promote it. I already was respected in the groups I posted in so I got some sales. Not that difficult.

My history degree is a bit more expensive but the kid I worked with and the websites do not require a degree to write papers for others and you get $10 + a page. Sure, it took me 8 + hours (A lot of the time to find sources for things I knew) but I made $100 a day with that method easily.

    Update #3 - Starting a Web 2.0 Network

This is the 'secret' that got me ranking fast when I started with no capital. The first thing you want to do is build a Web 2.0 Network, so I will describe how I do it. The only tool you 'need' is Scrapebox and I will be doing this just like you would. You can do this with Domain Hunter Gatherer (I have been playing with that for a while) but Scrapebox is better for more than one SEO process and because of that (And the fact it does not require a monthly expense per se) I am focusing this portion of the guide on it.

Ranking is not rocket science. It requires Authority + Link Juice. Some links are better than others, and the most efficacious are contextual links. The reason why I like Expired Web 2.0s are because:

    1. They have authority of the root domain.
    2. They have a bit of link juice.
    3. They are cheap.
    4. They are easy.
    5. They are cheap.

Yup, I like them because I am cheap. It is not business savvy to build a PBN to rank a KW you will make $10 a month from. In no world does that give you an ROI. But a Web 2.0 Blog Network does make perfect sense due to the fact it only requires one program and work.

This is the first step you should do in IM. I am exploiting a huge loop hole. Some platforms allow you to register Expired Web 2.0s again. Tumblr and Weebly are the commonly used ones around here and mentioned on BHW. You can also register overblog and blogspot. For this little experiment I suggest you focus on Tumblr.

    Why focus on Tumblr?

They are the easiest to re - populate with content and place a link in. You can simply share a photo or someone else article to fill your blog up with content. This means you can go from 0 to 60 the fastest and crank these out easily.

I use the public proxies to scrape with Scrapebox and use public proxies I found online for free to register them. For example, in the proxy section people will post proxies are a give away and also as a sample of the proxies they offer. What I did when I was starting out is use those to register the Tumblr blogs. Not as efficacious as real private proxies, but they work decently for cheap people and it is better than registering these blogs with your IP.

    How to run Scrapebox?

First in the 'Harvester and Keyword' section you add a footprint, that footprint will be the Web 2.0 you are scraping for. In this instance you will be using 'Site:Tumblr.com'.

You also need to add a keyword list. Most people use a generic list of keywords. That works fine but I suggest you eventually create your own list of KWs you import.

    You then harvest.

After you harvest you want to use adds on options to check to see what is alive. What I suggest are the add on options of:

    - Vanity Name Checker
    - Alive Check

Vanity and Alive Check work under different mechanisms to check if the Tumblr is alive or not. I used both when I first started, now I focus on Vanity only.

Once you scrape for Tumblr blogs, you need to trim them down. You go to the upper right hand corner and select trim, and use the trim to root options. Then you click the remove option and remove duplicate URLs.

Then you use the Add on options to check for 404 codes with Alive Checker and / or use the Vanity Checker.

Once you do that and have your live blogs, you export the file and check the metrics.

    The note on metrics are:

    - PR is a filer. PR 0 can be superior to PR 5 since it is outdated.
    - The links are what matters.
    - Avoid Tumblr's with only back links from re-blogs.

Point three is important because if a Tumblr only has links from other Tumblr blogs, you run the risk of those coming down and they tend to not be as efficacious.

Also, you want blogs with a PA of at least 30 or 35. Why? Tumblr should have a PA of 27 when it is brand new. An expired Web 2.0 with no additional links will have a good metric. You want one with at the very least DA 30 as a filter and some diverse links. That means you will have a good Tumblr to work with.

This is not the best description on how to use Scrapebox for our purposes (Well, it is rather horrible) but it is the best I can do on the fly without images.

Once you have your list of Tumblrs you need to register them all. As soon as you scrape you need to register. Think of it this way, at the same time you are doing this, so is everyone who reads this. If it says alive, snatch it up.

The goal for how many you want is directly related to how many KWs you want your network to rank. For me? I want to rank several sites or clients sites so I will be building at least 100 to start. That will take me at least a week.

Once I have 100 Tumblr blogs set up I will be building other Expired Web 2.0s as well. Then we will move onto step three.
