[Journey] Building an iOS & Android App Empire

@nakamura
Hey,
I have a couple of questions:
  1. Do you work all alone on this? No partner? No outsourcing?
  2. I noticed that from 2020 until the 2023 a couple months ago you were getting daily only 80-120 something like. Why is that you were stuck so long? Why you just did'nt scaled more or something?
1. Alone
2. I did scale it up and published more apps. Some apps only brought a couple of bucks. Some were removed, some accounts were terminated, etc. There are many reasons. Also, I also kept updating my existing apps. Additionally I worked on many other projects such as SEO, web development, and so on.

So it's not completely passive. You do maintenances and upgrades ocationally?
Do you do some kind of marketing? Like collecting emails and sending offers and etc?

Only if it is necessary. For example when an SDK gets deprecated or there are policy changes.

Yes, doing marketing but depends on the niche and the app.

Got it.
And If I understand correctly you reskin or copy other apps, did you tried your own ideas? Not like copy some app and add your own twist, but completely new app? I wonder how new ideas new uproaches work. I guess for new apps you need to do huge work on SEO.

Both. Of course, I also did my very own apps.

I believe in first-principle thinking; therefore, you must outline and be as detailed as possible when planning your app. After this, it is just working the plan.

Update:

+ Reskinned one of my iOS apps, and optimized it for ASO and it gets 60-100 downloads per day organically. Bringing me $30-50 per day with ads and IAP.

These days I am thinking about selling one of my high-earning iOS apps. But to increase the sales price I need to implement certain features. I was thinking about adding:

- Revenuecat
- Firebase Authentication
- User Profiles

I am sure this would make the app more attractive to potential buyers. Currently also working on optimizing the revenue. Testing different IAP strategies.

what? You don't have basic firebase authentications and user profiles? this app must be too simple :)

It is not a necessary key element for this app/niche. I don't even think many people would sign up in the first place. But of course, you are right, these days Firebase Auth and profiles are absolute standards. However, I always focused on improving the UI and key features of the app.

So yeah, this is something I will definitely do over the next few days or weeks.

Yeah but if it is not necessary just do not include it. after all, a better user experience is what matters.

That's also right and that's exactly why I haven't added it yet. But I am pretty sure some potential buyers would like to have this feature. So I will just add it for them. Basically adding features to increase the selling price of the app.

Also, I need to add RevenueCat to have a better overview of the subscriptions. So far I only use the basic Apple PurchaseKit and analyze it on App Store Connect. But I find it quite confusing. I haven't found any option or filter where I can, for example, see how many percentages of the users currently have an active subscription. How many percentages of the users cancel the subscription, how many cancel the free trial, etc. basic stuff like this.

Yeah having statistics about your users is very important + to not confuse your users with email and passwords just add Google OAuth and it will be good to go.

You inspired me to stop procrastinating and to finally start my journey on making apps/games and be a millionaire in the process
Good luck on journey
thanks mate. Just take action, learn as you go. My thread has 45 pages and I still learn new things every day.

hi guys today i found some tools which can help you to operate multiple play console in one device
Note : This are not affiliate links

https://www.adspower.com/https://gologin.com/
there are some tools like these but i know 2 of this
I talked to them and they said your identity will completely change and also you can add proxy to hide your country too

So i am asking here do you think this is lagit or will work I tried its free version

So my stretagy is this

-> open new account with new device , new IP , new SIM card , new credit card etc
-> then operate that account using above software (you can use one of them)
-> and google can never detect you

This is my theory
I want all of yours suggestion on it
