Journal: Follow a Dentist making a Dental Website

Well, This is not just another journal. Follow a Dentist documenting his success as he builds his dental website. I can't promise you my success, but I can assure you that I'm gonna give it a real go and update this journal -whatever the results maybe.
BACKGROUND

• -I am a Dental Student(Final year) by profession.
• I started my first dental website over a year ago and sold it two days ago for $4000
• That was a JV with some one at DP. I did not have decent knowledge to make it successful on my own. I started a similar journal and i received a JV proposal and accepted it.
• With the experience gained by making that website and knowledge gained from BHW, Im ready to give a shot at making a completely new website(But, with out the mistakes I did last time around)

WHY?

• -Keeping a public record would motivate me not only to sustain my efforts towards this but also give me the strength to put in that extra effort
• -Get input from knowledgeable pros along the way which can be of great help.
• -Serve as data which Beginners or even amateurs can refer to see what steps I took towards my success/failure and learn from them.

SO WHAT HAVE I DONE TILL NOW

• - I have registered the domain. Was a deleted domain that was first regged liked 5 years back. I hope that counts as aged.
• I have done 1/3 the keyword research and should complete the rest in a couple of days.

SO WHATS THE PLAN

• I do not want a website with only high paying/highly targeted traffic.
• I plan to build an authority site which will cover all aspects of dental health for the general public.
• For the articles/topics which do not have traffic/commericial potential, I am going to use a decent writer I know.
• For reasonable paying+reasonable traffic topics, I am going to write the articles personally.
• For link Building I intend to use the following:

Mainly

• Social Bookmarking
• Do-Follow Blog Commenting
• Article Marketing
• Web 2.0 Sites

and Also

• Forum Sig Links
• Niche Dir submissions
• Angela n paul style links(Dont know how to find those kinda links.Any help appreciated)
• Paid link submissions
• Guest blogging
• Video Submission

In the above list, I plan to use Black hat techniques on web 2.0 sites and submitted articles on article directories by using Xrumer(Gonna buy blasts).. and other (I dont know what other black hat tools to use. Hopefully i learn along the way)

I realise that Link Building is a real boring and time consuming job. I am not an expert at it either.

The plan is to get a decent idea on all methods of link building and then train a guy at my place to do the link building for me. I should be able to get a guy working full time for $200 per month in my country.

Create a youtube channel for your goals and make videos/camtasia of what you've done each week for accountability.

Really sorry for not being able to update this thread.. Gaypal was really gay to me and got me in a lot of mess.. all that is cleared now.. So, I should be able to update u guyz....regularly..

Well..Here is the update

--> Got all the keyword research done.....
--> Installed thesis on the site
-->Added 5 articles and social bookmarked using a autoposter...
-->Bought scrapebox...

Results:

Kewl, I cant believe I got indexed within 3 days of adding my first article. I even got a couple of vistors from google already as well based on couple of long tailed keywords which i did target.. Looks promising..

Further plan.

-Add 20 more filler articles which form the basis of my site.
-Add 10 articles that are targeted towards high CPC keywords wid low competition which i discovered during my keyword research.
- Start promoting those 10 keywords using scrapebox and article submissions for now...

Update;

I am being real slow with the site as I am buzy with other stuff..
I havent done any link building except social bookmarking..

Added a few more articles...

Im getting around 10 visitors from google each day already..
Looks promising.. I will add around 20 more articles and start link building..

Well, i am going about this slowly but surely..

I have got around 15 articles published on the site.

Im getting lots of pingbacks and trackbacks for some of my articles, AM i supposed to approve these so that they show up?

Something weird happened with one of my posts.. It was ranking on 2nd page for a keyword which was sending me 4-6 hits per day..

I did around 5 do--folow blog comments and social bookmarked those pages.... and that article disappeared from the SERPS..
Although, its still indexed and i am getting a hit or two for other keywords for the same post!!
Google dance or m i getting penalised?
