I've been a Amazon Seller for 2 weeks and only 1 order

Hi all, first post, but long time reader.
I've decided to bite the bullet and sign up and also try selling online.
I've ordered a bunch of stuff, stuff I know sells in the real world and online.
I've got screen protectors and HDMI and lightning cables along with other stuff.

But I've had no sales of my own. I then uploaded a phono cable set that my friend sells and boom 1 order. But then the site is quiet again. That was 7 days ago.

I'm getting low views too, is this because I've got a new seller tag on my account?
I don't think that should matter, I don't look at stuff like that when I shop, if someone has what I want I buy it, I always know what I am looking for.

I don't have any reviews, do you know how I can get these?

Where am I going wrong?

Do keyword research. Target keyword, which people are searching. Run sponsored ads for few days to get some initial sales.

"Verified Amazon Reviews" it's still most powerful to promoted your item whatever it is ... you can Try to give way your item as Free with exchange verified Reviews from Friends & Family member /different Facebook group and run PPC campaign with targeting Log tail Keyword...

Why did you decide to sell those products???

You might be better off selling them at a flea market on the weekend.

Seriously bro, why you are selling items that have long been sold by other Amazon sellers who are ranking and have a lot of reviews?

What made you think that you can compete against them?

Why would people buy from you?

It seems like you haven't done your homework.

Try to watch videos on youtube, undergo a udemy course or better yet, find a good mentor to learn more about Amazon.

Firstly, my background is in TV/Video/HiFi and one of the main things that high margins were Scart Cables and when HDMI cables came in they were the same margins.
I read a case study on the screen protectors. A guy made over $100,000 in his first year selling them.
It's true I have not done my research. I have only found cheap products that can get sent to me for very very cheap or free so I can test various products.

I have put the iphone 8 screen protector for very cheap and I'm only making 12 cents on it, all to see if people will go on to the listing and buy. But they down. I've only got 1 view in the last 6 hours
What can I use to do Keyword research?
I've used Google Keyword Planner before. I've seen people suggest sites like MerchantWords etc but you have to pay for them.

There must be a free way to find this info out.
What kind of trend am I looking for?

If I pay for reviews will they get blocked unless they are genuine?

Are you drop shipping or doing FBA ?

Currently to test I am posting myself.
I have the stock, I don't have a label printer to print off barcodes or anything.
I have been thinking to send my screen protectors.
Some products that are listed are drop shipped too, but the prices on them are too high to make any kind of profit.

If you can get the stock in to do FBA that means you'll get the 'buy box', plus they handle all shipping etc.

You’re in a highly competitive niche.

Also you probably didn’t launch your products correctly. Just posting them and hoping for a sale isn’t quite enough.

No I didn't launch the products properly. I did use Twitter and thats about it.
For one of my higher quality screen protectors I did a FB boost post for $10 for 7 days which got me 2 clicks over 2,800 views

How many pictures of your cable do you have?
Is your main immage of the cable standing out from the rest of the competition?
Is your cable shown in action?
Is your main picture clean?
Are your secondary pictures decent at least?

How many bullet points do you have?
How well written are they?
Do they stand out in any way shape or form?

Keywords:
How many keywords for your exact cable do you have?
How and were are in the bullets?
Are the featured benefits of the cable highlighted in any way?

Description:
Is it detailed?
How many details do you have to offer?

Views:
Is your cable on amazon?
Is it indexed?
How well is he indexed and on what keywords?

All the questions are interlinked and will not answer 1 for another?
You have a looong way ahead of you.

I would suggest you timmidly start a auto campaign for keywords, but for beginners it is wasted money, since you donno the ropes ... yet.

My, very basic, standard, hardbioled earned questios that moved me forward.
