I don't think content alone is the issue, at least the article is talking about ranking a site not necessarily talking about affiliate marketing etc.

It doesn't matter if you're a native English speaker or not. Your grammar does not determine if you'll rank. If you want to confirm if this is true, spine some garbage content in any niche of your choice, post it on a Google sites page, get it indexed and send some links(GSA blast etc). Give it some months, check the result.

While this won't work in every niche, try targeting low competition keywords and see for yourself.

Gaming Google is a short-term tactic. If you want long term success you should be giving Google and users the information they crave.

It's funny when people talk about Google as though it's some guy sat behind a desk?

It's a collection of algorithms, and by their very nature are imperfect. Our job is to exploit these inconsistencies, not to do as were told like good little boys.

You are not wrong but quality content and link building play a crucial role in ranking in a better position. And of course, there is a blackhat and whitehat SEO op.
 
very well said. Can't agree more. People think that buying links from PBNs will rank them to the top but this isn't the case. Good content and proper guest post/niche edit links are the only way to go.
 
Stick to the guidelines and you are forever chasing your tail. Right now I have a site that is racing up the rankings with some careful PBN links and even local directories too. My 'white hat' SEO is to get the double green on Yoast plugins and that's about it.

Now when I researched competitors, one of which is a well-known used-car site that has entered into the market with exceptional backlink profiles and insane DR and they are ranking 7th. Number 1 is a spam fest of backlinks and after checking the company financials, they are sitting on 1.4mn GBP cash after 5 years of business. 1-man team this is too. So, in my opinion, Google has essentially become the wild-west again and if you stick to the rules you are just following what 'best practices' a giant business offers which is Google Ads basically.

People always said, quality content and quality links. Now, define 'quality' word itself.

If you don't think there's an alternative to the official search engine guidelines then you're in the wrong forum.
 
First of all: Google is a company in a capitalistic system. Their goal is to make money by selling ads. Why would they care about what some guys are doing trying to get organic "free" traffic? They don't.

Ask every small business/shop/website owner who got their website deindexed, algo-penalized, etc. even tho they follow every of Google's guidelines.

I am wondering if OP actually took a look at the Serps these days. Pinterest and high authority websites with spun content are ranking all over the serps. The reality is quite the opposite of what you posted. Beside this, Google's crawler/indexer is "broken". So their guideline "Publish high quality and relevant content and it will get picked up by our crawler" is bullshit anyway. The only ones getting indexed are the ones using blackhat techniques.

I noticed a trend come traffic per week , is kinda like Sunday, Monday is low? correct me if i wrong

than mid week , traffic seem ok , than come Saturday slowly die off

You get very stuck on the Google guidelines. You can bend and even break rules as much as you want. I'm just amazed by the amount of "SEOs" on this forum that act surprised when they build thousands of crappy PBN links, or they pump out hundreds of spun pieces of content as "guest posts" and then they cry when Google pushes them down in the rankings.

I'm not telling anyone not to try and rank better.
