It seems Google loves aged content ?

my article stucks at page 3 eventhough after 4 months. It's high quality (4000 words with all the details). While other 400 words articles with ugly images, outdated information on page 1 and 2 (I doubt they have any backlinks). they outranked me just because they're old?.

Don't attribute the competitor rankings to only the age of the content.

Take into consideration the age of their site, their metrics, and links to their ranked pages.
 
There can be many possible answers to this. though the age of content matters a lot then too there are many other factors which lead to the higher ranking of an article. These factors can be -

1. age of the site
2. good domain authority
3. high trust flow of the domain
4. number of quality backlinks
5. number of referring domains
6. regular social shares of the article

content marketing is not a tough task to perform all you need is a trustworthy company who can do this for you.

common, I know what quality is, there's no way someone can make a quality detailed article on " How to make a wordpress website" with only 400 words.

True that, yet till you share some more info about your site & those outranking you, -"I doubt they have any backlinks" won't do-, we can only guess.

Pretty sure you also know how to check the stats - why not share more info?
 
Age of the content alone will not result in such results. You have to consider other factors as well like their metrics, backlinks and their quality etc
 
Unless you build quality external links AND your stuff is formatted for on-site SEO properly, expect your content to stay in the bowels of Google's index for 6 to 9 months or even a year.

Still, if your content is solid, it might rise in the SERPS over time.
 
Check their DA, on page SEO.
Today I have checked for one of my keyword the compietier is ranking #4 with just 400 words, where I rank at 11.
