I've had Comcast for a while now (They suck I know) There's not many out here.
Anyways, I wake up this morning and open my browser and boom I get a big alert that is saying I've used 240GB out of my 300GB data plan for this calender month. And it's only the 11th. WTF.
I haven't really done any work on the internet either this month. I've been lazy. And I RARELY even watch videos on YouTube. If I do get on YouTube it's mainly for a product review or game footage or something.
I do game on Xbox Live tho. Since CoD came out on the 5th I'll play for a few hours a day but I'm playing no where close to what I was playing when GTA Online came out and I didn't get any warnings then about my data.
I've been Googling and apparently most if not ALL ISPs have always had a cap. Usually around 250GB.
I'm not understanding this because I know when I've worked heavily on IM I've probably pulled in way more than 250GB per month. And also have downloaded a bunch of movies in the past like the Extended edition of Lord of The Rings Trilogy which was well over 100GB alone lol
I think I've only downloaded 2 movies this month.. both under a gig. Watched maybe 4 short YouTube vids and the rest has been on XBL a few hours a day since the 5th and I'm almost to the cap?
I fear for the hardcore gamers and MMOers out there that play 8 hours a day. And the hardcore IMers that do nothing but the internet 10hours a day straight. Making blogs, YT vids etc will eat that up in days!
I'm in TN. Anyone else experiencing data cap problems? Are there any truly unlimited companies out there?
