Is YouTube still the best platform for building authority?

In my opinion YouTube remains the best platform to create long-lasting relationships.

If your goal is to become known as an expert in a niche is YouTube still the strongest platform available? Or are platforms like LinkedIn, X, Podcasts and newsletters becoming more effective for authority building?
It is basically depends on the niche. For example,if you want to go for a tour, then you can watch blogs on youtube and if you want to buy something then you have to go to other platform.I think Linkedin,X are now becoming more effective for authority building.

YouTube is still one of the best for building trust because people can actually see and hear you
That said, the strongest strategy is letting YouTube create authority while LinkedIn or X keeps the conversation going

YT remains the ultimate king for deep credibility and evergreen search traffic, but industry veterans use a hybrid strategy, leverage LinkedIn/X for rapid B2B discovery, funnel that audience into Newsletters Podcasts for direct audience ownership, and keep YT as the ultimate flagship for unshakeable authority.

You should use all the platforms. If any platform clicks for you, you can use it to promote your brand on other platforms.

YouTube is still one of the best platforms to build authority as a content creator. People still trust the platform.

It depends on the niche - what niche are you aiming for and how much of an expert you're in it? If that's gaming, for instance, that will be hard due to high competition. You also should objectively assess your traits - do you have a talent for being a blogger or content creator of some kind, or no? How are your talking skills? Do you have charisma? These are important qualities that matters for CC on YouTube. If you have all that and your niche isn't too mainstream - go for it. It's only the matter of time when you' ll get well known.

YouTube is still one of the best platforms for building authority because people can see and trust your expertise.

I think youtube is still very strong because people can see and hear you. it can build trust faster than just reading your posts.

YouTube gives you the best authority because people remember faces and voices much better than written posts. Combining YouTube videos with a newsletter or LinkedIn post gives you the fastest way to become known.

YouTube has always been the best platform for building credibility and is consistently prioritized in Google search results.

I think YouTube is still the strongest if your goal is long-term authority. A good video can keep bringing views from search for years, while posts on X or LinkedIn usually fade much faster. That said, I wouldn't rely on YouTube alone. I'd use YouTube as the main content hub, then repurpose clips to Shorts, LinkedIn or X to bring people back to the full videos. That's worked much better for me than focusing on just one platform.

Youtube is the strongest platform if your goal is to build authority with a broad audience because people can actually see and hear you explain your expertise. That said, I'd pair it with a newsletter or LinkedIn so you don't rely on a single platform and have a way to keep in touch with your audience directly.

But the ultimate modern strategy is using YouTube,Podcasts as your primary content engine, repurposing clips to LinkedIn for quick reach, and converting them into an owned audience via Newsletters.

I think the best approach is to choose one main platform and build around it. Trying to be everywhere can make it harder to stay consistent.

The platform matters less than the value you provide. People follow experts who solve problems and share real experience.

so far the efforts that continue to bring in leads is still youtube or SEO. the others usually die down quickly. i think people go to youtube expecting to spend alot more time there rather than a quick entertaining video to pass 5 mins of time
