Is Youtube API changing any time soon ?

I'm relying on youtube API for my SMM software for video search & stats. It's the only plateforme that doesn't require access approval before using their API.
Since FB & Twitter and instagram turned to the dark side, do you guys think it's just a matter of time before Youtube goes full Hitler ?

i got many video apps i dont think the stats part of the apps are going to change .

if they do then charge people monthly like others .

online apps are the best know days

I definitely don't see them changing to a closed API at any time in the near future.

Even if they did, I'd be surprised if they didn't give around 6 months for everyone to update.

AFAIK youtube has two differen api versions (v3 and v2). so if you are using v3 you are on the safe side i guess. And v2 has probs also long support, my feelings say no worries. Anyway I would always recommend the new version if you start developing smth new
