I’ve been using Yoast SEO for a while now, and I’m curious: does it fall under white hat SEO practices? I know it’s widely recommended, but I want to make sure it aligns with best practices in SEO. What do you all think?

I think yes, it's white hat because it pretty much recommends you a few things that you might forget sometimes. It doesn't actually do the work for you.

But yeah you could say these are white hat.

Yes, it's generally considered a white seo tool. But like any other tool it can also be misused. So it's better not to soley rely on Yoast without the other factors that affect SEO, you might not get the desired results. Use it as a guide and not as a rule book.
