Is VPS enough for running a b2c eCommerce site

Of course going with VPS is fine.. The main thing you should watch out is... under what machine is the VPS? If is cheap dedicated box then the VPS wont be powerful and will be same as shared hosting .

VPS should able to handle your B2C until your traffic increase then you can alawys upgrade to higher VPS or Dedicated Server. At the moment VPS is sufficient for what you need.
