Is Twitter worth it ?

it all depends but its a two way street and you need to play with your follow gaining methods but im having great success with it just takes trial and errors to perfect it and the traffic is pretty good quality so you can most def. get sales from it

This is why I made the topic, do you think the traffic is worth it ? better quality than other social traffic ?

No other social platform lets me do this. Of course, it's been a thorough waste of money for me so far,

Traffic is bad quality or you are still tweaking the landing page / conversion ?

I ran twitter ads before for very popular products that we sell. These products convert like crazy with other social traffic like Facebook, but on Twitter no one bought a single thing. Not only that, people took the liberty to talk trash about us right on the ad. I genuinely don't understand why anyone uses Twitter at all.

I hear you ...
Twitter became a place to vent and talk trash apparently ..

The traffic is garbage. I turned off the ads, I couldn't get anything to work. I'm guessing that it's just heavily overrun by bots trying to look like real people.

Its not a great advertising medium end of

Sadly, I have to agree here.

ANy particular reasons ? the platform is bad ? the targetting is not great ? reach is bad maybe ?

By the numbers, the reach is astounding. I haven't had as good reach on any other platform, but I think the quality is just terrible. Really cheap reach, interactions, and clicks; and I was targeting tier 1 countries!

Pretty much my experience.

I wouldn't say that. It is a great discussion and news exchange platform. Its just not great for people commercially

Agreed. I think this is the first place people go for news and gossip. This is probably a great platform for awareness and branding, but not for conversions.

That's my 2 cents at least.

So if I summarize this thread, just make an account for the brand to maybe reply to customers tweeting at you .. Tweet some news / updates and that's it. Don't bother with ads or anything.

Out of all the main stream social media networks Twitter right now (for me at least) seems to have the lowest quality in traffic, i have around 800 accounts running (so i can for sure confirm there are a lot of bots on the platform) the traffic that comes from twitter to my blogs don't stick around for as long as other traffic and email signups are very low from traffic that has come from Twitter.

How aggressive are the bots in terms of action per day? Twitter might suck but 800 accounts must still do some damage.

I dont know about worth it. I believe in having a presence everywhere.

And then depending on the site you have, you can automate postings. Or if its like a 1 page site, just share that and pin it and blast it with likes/shares/retweets whatever.

Also get the profile some followers, just to look legit.

This is an actual screenshot of a service that I'm promoting on Twitter running 3 accounts on Jarvee ...

The clicks are there, alright, but conversions are non-existent.

Is Twitter worth it?
Probably if you have a product that converts easily.

You're the third person in this thread to confirm traffic but no conversions. I've pulled my ads after my test because it was so abysmal. I'm having much better success with YouTube, I'm going to run a few test campaigns on Facebook, which I have no doubt will be fine based on past experience, I just need to create a bridge page because Facebook is pretty strict about where you can send visitors.

Bridge you mean an article or a landing page correct ? as in you can't send traffic directly to merchant ?

I mean with every brand I have, instagram / pinterest and even facebook seem to have some kind of organic growth .. twitter is so different, it seems like you have to earn every follower you get ..

My question is, is it worth it ? it seems so much work needs to go in growing a twiiter account, is it worth it afterwards ?
Not even sure cuz my twitter accounts get banned for now reason so frustrating
