Is tumblr backlinks still effective

Blogging is much effective when we talk about backlink on the other hand social media platform can give you traffic.
 
You, can blog or post images related to your niche and tag it with the other users or reblog others posts this way tumblr is still effective to get traffic.

Have you tried video's for SEO and traffic, it is very effective and the trend is growing.
 
yes, it's effective you have to set up anchor text pass the link juice correctly, but seems pretty hard to index at once these days
 
Little more effort needs to go into them but yes, still a great source of links! As mentioned, indexing can be a bit more difficult these days though. I build do-follow Reddit links to them and have found that indexes them a lot quicker.
 
Expired tumblrs and expired web2.0's still are useful. Not as it used to be 5 years ago and before the redirect, but it still carries a punch.
It's better than fresh web2.0's and better than most web2.0's with the automated tier2 backlinks.
Best to use them as a foundation.

In most cases, you will need other links as well. Start with expired tumblrs and see where you get in 1-2 months.
If you get stuck on page 2-3, get some PBNs for example.

Lately, I've been testing expired tumblrs on local niches, after citations. So far it looks promising.
