Is traffic everything?

More traffic does not mean more sales.

Let's say you are selling Yacths (or well affiliate for Yacths). If you have 2 million traffic a month but out of these two million '0' people can 1) afford a yacht 2) interested in buying a yacth. Then your traffic is worth nothing.

If you have 100 people per month visit your yacth site but out of the 100 all of them have money and interest in yacths then you are golden.

It's all about targeted traffic for affiliates. How much traffic do you actually need? It depends on the product. If you sell 2-3 high-value products a month you might make 2-3x than someone who sells 1000s of $10 stuff each month.

So, traffic is not everything. Far from it.

Hi

I m gonna focus on getting as much traffic as I can to my affiliate website. Backlinks, comments, blog posts and so on ..

I will not work on getting quality traffic or more exactly nich relate traffic because it will be double harder and I have too many things going on right now...

What I would like to know is a possible success rate ... I have and amazon affiliate site so I believe that even if is not the best traffic I still can get some clicks. And with amazon any click can make some money ... What do you think about this?
For affiliate marketing, traffic really is everything if you don't have traffic, you won't get clicks, and then everything will be in vain. You are mentioning now Amazon or those big sites, but remember that they have a huge amount of traffic each month and that's why it's pretty easy to get clicks there, as people are visiting it so often. I understand really that working on traffic enhancement is something that takes time, but you have to be prepared for that sacrifice if you want to succeed here, no one made results overnight but this is something that worth pain, believe me.
