Currently, I don’t spend much time on tiered link building. Instead, I rely on high-quality guest post backlinks, which are sufficient.

It feels like tiered links don’t work like before, sometimes they help a bit, but they are much less reliable now and can be risky if overdone.

I don't suspend money on tired link building, We are focus on redirect backlinks from expire domains which are clean.

Still works but weaker, Google is better at ignoring low-quality tiers now.
If the base link isn’t strong, tiers won’t save it.

From what I’ve seen, tiered links can still work, but they don’t seem as strong as they used to be. It feels like quality matters more now than just stacking layers.

Tiered link building still works, but it is riskier now. Search engines are better at detecting unnatural patterns. Lower tiers can help indexing, but quality and relevance matter more. I had focus on strong primary backlinks first.

Its always effective, it depends on how you use them.
We still have clients use tiered link building for their websites and it works
Earlier they used some web 2s for T3 links, but nowadays they no longer works or index in google, so you just need re strategies based on that

Tiered link building still works when built with quality and relevance, but low quality or spammy tiers are losing value fast in 2026. Focus on strong links only.

I do not think that tiered link building is any useful. It is a very old technique and I do not think it is anymore relevant.

Tiered building isn't dead, it just evolved. In 2026, you can't just blast GSA or low-quality churn-and-burn links at your Tier 1 and expect a boost. I only use tiered structures now to "power up" high-quality guest posts or niche edits. If your Tier 2 isn't indexable and somewhat relevant, it will not be effective.

It still works like a charm for juicing up your tier 1 links, like guest posts or niche edits, the best part is you can be a lot more aggressive with the tier 2s to pass more power without worrying about your main site getting hit.
Just make sure those second tier links are at least indexed or you're just wasting your time.

Still works but only in a refined, low-noise form, Spammy tiered blasts are mostly ignored or risky now. What holds up is quality Tier 1 + light, relevant support for indexing/amplification. It is no longer a growth strategy just a controlled enhancer when your main links are already strong.
