Honestly...I think it is worth $80. Do you have any idea how long design and development take and the level of knowledge you have to have in order to code?
For example, I charge $50 per hour, that would mean that in order for me to create something for $80, that gives me only about 1 1/2 hours to design + development + error test - in which a small design would take at least 8-12 hours.
In the web industry, you really do get what you pay for. If you paid someone $8 per hour to do that site for you, not only were they worth the money but I am surprised that they could even finish the project.
Imagine someone saying to you.. "I want my site on page #1 for $80". The time involved is obviously much more than a mere $80. The same principle works here. If you want a good design, hire and PAY and good designer. Every man is worth and should be paid for the level of work they bring to the table.
By the way...if you can get a website for under $300, RUN! They are either sending you a template, are new, or just aren't good. Any good designer/developer will have constant business and isn't afraid to turn down your work if you don't meet their rate requirements.
(if you need it fixed, let me know)
