I am trying to learn about monetizing Facebook. Tell me if this is basiclly what you gotta do to make money with Facebook.

    1. Make a Facebook account.
    2. Add 1k-5k friends.
    3. Invite all to your page.
    4. Repeat steped 1 though 3 as many time as you want.
    5. Have many members in your page. (1000+)
    6. Sell the group for 1 cent a member or mass message for profit.

Is this correct? What would be the average % on friend accept and % on accept page invite. My guess is 90% accept friend (well everyones methods are different but I use this method for these results). So if you have 1 account and invite 5k then 4.5k are friends. Next, you invite to page. Lets say 50% join. Thats 2250 members from 1 account. Do 10 accounts for 22500 members. Mass message a CPA offer related to page. Conversion profits are:
    1% @ $1 each = $225
    10% @$1 each = $2250
    1% @ $5 each = $1125

Those are just some random conversion rates. Please don't mind my math as I did it all in my head so don't get mad if I left some errors.

First, I highly doubt 50% will join. Thats just unreasonable, even with a cool page idea. Even 10% would be great, but you can easily suggest to over 100,000+ with the right # of accounts. Then, lets say half won't even click on your landing page and just become a fan right on their suggestion section on their homepage. I think to make it work with 4 figs/day, you need a fan page of 100,000+ if you have one of the normal CPA offers going around. Maybe 50k with a unique offer and good page, imo.

Well on my real Facebook account, when I get suggested, I usually always join and when I suggest to friends, they usually always join too... So I thought it would be 50%.

    it can vary a lot.

I agree about the 10x. I was thinking about that.
Also I know 1% is low but I put it low so people wouldn't complain about my conversion rate (10%-20%).
And what is FBML tab? Facebook Markup Language Tab? What is that?

Click Edit Page. Down the bottom you can add "Static FBML" to your page, Facebook Markup Laguage. It's an alternative to HTML, E.g. <fb:iframe> instead of <iframe>. Once you have got it added go back to edit page and refresh, click application options on the static FBML tab, remove the box and add a tab. Then click edit FBML to change the name of the tab and the tab's content where you can pretty much use HTML but there are limitations in the way of iframes and javascript. There is also FBJS which is Facebook Javascript. It's quite a complex language if you are not already well versed in HTML/Javascript, lookup O'Reilly's FBML guide for more help.

shit sucks :( I remember the days of 10k invites converting to 7k people in a group.. of course it depends on what the page/group is... If the group is "track who view's your profile!" you'll get a lot more but FB will shut it down :D
jw what method do you use to get people to add ur profile?

Interesting... I'll have to try that someday. I generally don't send out friend requests with my accounts because I find they tend to be disabled/marked as spam a lot faster.
Anyways its 5:30am time for me to sleep.. godspeed/good-luck :D

I'm still very skeptical at 1% conversion rate and even 20% fan page acceptance rate. Has anyone else seen #s like this?

Your saying you doubt I can get a 1% or 20% conversion rate. It's not hard if you plan the niche, cpa offer and wording in the mass mailing right. If you study social engeneering (I did), you would know easy ways to word this so people join. It is basic physcology.
