No child, no it would not take a week to drive to Portugal, in fact nothing like. You may be able to change your other shit around when questioned like "Oh did I forget, I am not really moving, it is my mum" But you cannot change the fact that you said it would take at least a week to get there. Now let me put this simple to you, and this will be my last comment. You say that you have done this journey many times, yet you say it takes at least a week to drive to Portugal.
Now even any route planner you like will give you a max time of about 30 hours, maybe they are just paranoid, or spoilt little children. Please do not have an issue with me, merely because I am not took in by your bullshit. I am not took in by your bullshit, as you seem oblivious to driving times and distances.

About the trip I wish you the best of luck I plan on the future going around Europe in a campervan, it's actually really usual to see Northern Europeans in campervans here in Portugal. I've seen some with a Russian Plate ahah, people travel thousands on miles in their campervans and just stop everywhere. Campervan travelling lifestyle isnt the rushed out travelling everyone is used to, and I totally understand how you havent yet chosen a place to live at ( or your mother ), you are here to explore the alternatives and see where you'd feel better.
