Is this just in the U.S.?

I'm only used to seeing companies like ATT,Charter,Cox,Comcast etc.

They can Try to Sell you all they have and want, But You Decide what you need.
Thats something normal.

Happens everywhere. I sometimes make some fun of these guys and ask them the weirdest questions you can imagine :D Like where exactly are the cables mislaid? What happens if someone digs a hole into the street and crashes the cables? Would I still be able to watch TV? And what if the person who digged that hole in the street gets insured by the cables? Have you guys an insurance for cases like that? From which insurance company? I just want to make sure it's a decent one. And so on.
Then after I have talked with them for at least like 30 minutes and stressed them with those silly questions, i say I'm sorry but I'm not interested in cable TV at all and hang up :D
