I do not think just registering a domain is going to get you in trouble.
If any influencer cared for branding, he/she would have registered trademarked and also registered domain.
If you want to play on safer side, develop a demo website with full functionality.
Contact influencer and show them that you can develop similar website with his/her branding.
You will maintain all the development and selling and influencer will handle marketing.

You should undrestand their mindset, Once you tell them you have registered their name, They will go ballastic and consider it as blackmail not business oportunity. You are not dealing with some business mind people, As it has been said before they are narcsistic and selfish, They expect you to hand over all the revenue and bow to them. Why? Because they think they are pretty and they deserve everything thanks to thousands of SIMPs that praise them every day.So the other night I woke up at 3 with what I thought was a great idea and I’ve been stuck in it since. I told my biz partner about what I was starting and he said he had heard people getting in trouble for it a few years back.
here’s the idea:
buy domains of large influencers that don’t already have sites, create the site, create merch. Then contact them asking them to promote it and split a percentage.
I couldn’t find any solid answers to this as to why I’m asking on here. If anyone has done this please let me know.
If not I’ll just shoot my shot an hope for the best right
