Image of the message received on my Instagram account below:

I am more convinced its a scam than not, if it was from Instagram they would have a verified tick by their name, right? It seems pretty generic too as my handle wasn't mentioned.

I'm more curious to ask if anyone knows what the scammer would potentially get out of this?

They wouldn't bother with you waiting for you reply

They will ask to share password on appeal form

Image is broken but whatever, it must be a scam.. no company would contact their users and call them to action, company do the actions itself.
