Is this a really a youtube watching hours Hack?

Yes, I am as confused as my titleo_O

I was watching videos on youtube and somehow I came to one video where the guy is talking about increasing watching hours of the channel just my running the video on different phones with the speed of 0.25x. He was saying that if the video is of 5 minutes and you play it in the lowest speed than youtube will count it as 50 minutes watching hours of that video.

Someone in the comment section says that it is a wrong method and youtube will not monetise your channel. I didn't see any issue in the trick.

Did anyone here try this trick? Please tell me in the comments.

It's not something I've tried but I wouldn't think it would work. Surely YouTube have something in place to combat something like that, it wouldn't be that easy.

But I could be wrong!
 
But why don't you just create a video 4 times longer? The results would be the same, right?

sorry bro but I thought if this technique is working it can help those people who are having a hard time complete their watching hours.

bro, long videos has a low retention rate, unless they are movies or series.

As far as I'm aware this doesn't work
 
i used to have script that set such speed while playing videos but never understood why ? to increase watchtime or to supress audio idk .
 
I more headache getting Perm Subscribers now only 600 , need 400 more
view times you can just spam anywhere online surely got some views

is on Subscribers hard to get for me
