A person texted me on instagram and offered me $750 for my 25k account with very good engagement. I sent a request to his paypal as well.

He is asking me to change the instagram pages phone number to his number just for guarantee.

Should I do it?

PayPal has a fraud protection service, so once he pays, he's already got certain guarantees.
You should both have clear documentation on each other's identities, but still... PayPal should be protection enough, I would guess.

This is an old scam. Just accept crypto or a escrew service and he will accept that if he is a serious buyer

Big nope, never do a transaction with random people that messages you unless he is willing to pay with crypto or another form where he can't dispute it.

Use escrow.com for a safe transaction they take small fees but it worth it

This looks like a scam but you can take some precautions like:
  • Ask for an advance (could be as little as $50-$100). Most scammers won't pay a penny to anyone. So, he might deny it.
  • Use an escrow service.
  • Create an agreement and let him accept it if you're receiving Paypal payment.
  • Use a buy/sell platform for trade.

NO!

It's one of the oldest scams in the book. If you wish to keep yoir account or to sell it and not lose it, dont do it. Keep in mind he can ask for his money back from Paypal anytime so you are in a very unsafe place anyway.

Don't do that man. Also accept payments taht he can't file chargeback with. Like PayPal friends and family or Crypto. Strictly!!

Everyone have already given you good advice, “don’t do it “.

I will add that PayPal has basically no protection for digital product seller. I learned the hard way.
I lost 5 charge back claims despite delivering the product they had bought.
Last time I checked they SAID they had strengthened sellers protection, but from what I saw and understood from theirs text it was just as bad as it has ever been.
