Is this a negative SEO attack??

I am uncertain now. Some say I dont have to care others that I should use the disavow tool. So I think it depends on the number of crap-links coming in. At the moment I have around 20 of those links coming in. Is this already "critical" or if not what number would be critical?

Yes, it looks like you have been neg seo'ed, disavow them on WMT if you are concerned about them.

You seem to be under negative SEO by the looks of it. I assume you already listed the links? Why not disavow them?

It's either negative SEO, or your hosting company is hacked, and this site is spamming to many other website hosted with your hosting company as well. You should contact your hosting provider to see if their servers or your website server is infected in anyway.

Hi Aussie,

20 links is not critical at all. A negative SEO attack tends to be of the "throw the kitchen sink at them" type - you would be watching absolute thousands of links being placed to your website.

At the moment, just keep an eye on it. If the number keep stacking up and you really do notice lots more links pointing to you then is the time to break out WMT + Ahrefs and start building a disavow list.

Until then just chill and keep a weekly watch over it using Majestic / Ahrefs.

Just a little PS to this post. Keep an eye out on your Ahrefs / Majestic for this chinese anchor text: [主页]
If you start seeing that then it's a dead ringer that someone has pressed the red button on their GSA SER install and is looking to nuke your site.

Check the traffic and keywords, if they are dropping it.

All you can do is disavow the links and pray that Google's disavow tool will actually work as advertised.

I have a good and very expensive hosting and doubt that it has been hacked. But lets just say that is was hacked. How would that lead to this site www.madgestrassburg.xyz linking to my site? I dont see the connection yet.
