Is there such thing as a shadow ban affecting DM?

I’m currently running a commission business on Instagram, my employees DM 25 people per day. I picked 25 to ensure nobody has problems with DM blocks. Although nobody has been blocked, I have noticed that my newer employees are able to generate a lot more results (due to clients responding to the DM) as opposed to some of my employees who have being doing this for a few weeks.
Is there any chance that Instagram has the ability to make it seem as the DM went though but it doesn’t go through on the other persons end?

Keep in mind if they are not following you those DM won´t land on their inbox, they'll appear as a notification in your inbox (which many may ignore or not notice) to accept the message. Also if you're using the same text over and over may lead you into problems.

Yup I’ve always counted on them seeing the little notification. I’ve been switching between 10 different messages, do you think it would be necessary to do more than 10?
