It's great that members send in reports as it helps clean spam or members selling outside of the marketplace. Feel proud that you are contributing to the forum, and don't worry so much about accurate reports or numbers, as that is not the goal.

Correct me if I am wrong but I remember checking the staff application few years ago here and it said that number of valid reports you made are also considered. Is there a record of reports?

Here are the criteria listed below as it explains everything. I will let another mod chime in about this.
Expectations
Before you apply, it's important that you know what being a moderator is about.
- Moderator positions are on a volunteer basis and the workload varies daily. Some days you may find yourself cleaning up reports and other days you may end up answering several dozen private messages.
- Being a moderator is about guidance and maintenance; it's analogous to being a janitor rather than an executioner. If your only interest is to wield the ban hammer, this is not the position for you.
- As a moderator, you act as an extension of the forum owner.
Who Are We Looking For
- Members who wish to give back to the community through moderation.
- Members who are experienced internet marketers. You don't need to be experienced in every facet of the industry, but knowledge of link building or social media in particular are a bonus.
- Members who are supportive of the forum and the community. Everyone's allowed to have their opinions, but as a moderator, we want someone who's interested in contributing to the forum in a positive way.
- Members with a thick skin who are comfortable with confrontation whilst not being prone to it. Being able to handle feedback and constructive criticism is an important part of the position.
- Members who will be able to work well with the existing staff members. You don't need to be friends, but being able to work well in a team and coordinate on tasks is crucial.
- Applicants must be over 18 years of age.
- Applicants must be proficient in the English language, although proficiency in a second language is a plus. Members with excellent written communication skills will be especially desirable.
- Applicants must not have a live marketplace thread nor can they have the intention of having one after accepting their position.
- Applicants must have an above-average understanding of the forum rules.
- Applicants must have a current Jr. VIP membership.
Moderators will be expected to maintain their positions. Moderators who become inactive will lose their position so that we can make room for more staff members.
Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:
- Spam management.
- Processing reports.
- Moving threads.
- Deleting rule-breaking threads.
- Merging duplicate posts.
- Identifying rule-breaking content.
- Responding to queries from members.
- Issuing infractions.
- Clearing the moderation queue.
- Being a good role model for the community.

I but thank you for announcing who won the unofficial "snitch of the year" award To address this - there is data on reports, but as for "valid" part of your question, it's subjective.
Even if we have the data, we won't really make it public for obvious reasons (we really like the peace in the forum and we don't want to encourage members' drama and arguments)
