Hi there,

GSC has detected the following errors: “Invalid value for attribute in CSS ‘href’ in tag ‘link rel=stylesheet for fonts” and “Custom JavaScript is not allowed”.

I have another 5 pages flagged as well. I began receiving these after a WP developer installed AMP plugin on my website. I spoke to her and she assured me these would not affect SEO ranking as removing CSS/JS issues would lead the URL being uncrawled.

Can anyone please advise on this?

Many thanks,
S

If it's your developer who caused that error then ask that developer to fix the error and make sure your website complies to the google structured data requirements!
Just google google structured data test tool and you can use that tester to test your site, and the error in code will be highlighted accordingly.
Yes, it won't 100% affect ranking, as your site's coding is perhaps 1-3% of the overall onpage ranking metric, but a little bit here and there adds up - so given the choice, I'd get that fixed instead.

Tell your developer to read the documentation. You cannot have any Javascript on amp pages unless it's an official amp component. You also need to inline all css.
