I know it is dead if you go with whitehat method. But if you are using blackhat method it is still profitable, many people are using SEDO and other parking platforms to make profit. You might have seen many advertisements related to parked domains on taboola, etc.

Yes, if you know how to hide the traffic sources, you will be pretty ok with those parking platforms. You can use any traffic sources (Facebook, Taboola), but yes no one can guarantee 100% safe method.
I dont think they are paying well with fake traffic
You can either make money by selling domains or by parking (allowing advertisements on your domains) it.
Where I said fake traffic, traffic should be real (100% human). What I meant that, you need to hide the traffic sources (basically referrer) or if you have special contract with those companies then also you can promote your domains.
