Hmm guys ranks just go down and up . Its normal. You dont have to create thread every time your site rank drop.
Algo is updated every day and sometimes major update

this time it gets insane mre and more. Popcorning since the 17th and it is somewhat pretty strange. yesterday i felt out of top 500, today i am on #6. However, all in all i have a traffic loss of 20% along with a loss of 1k daily.

Had a look at mozcast for the last 30 days, have you? Hardly minor tweaks to the algo we are talking about here... Or perhaps you want to keep an eye on some of the blogs of the major SEO players.

If you had kept your eyes open you would have noticed that in the last 14 days Google has made apparently some significant changes to their algo on the 17th, done a Panda update on the 22nd or 23rd and in addition released a whole new interface for their image search which has dramatically affected traffic to blogs with popular images.

Now, if you don't want to know about these changes, please feel free to stick you fingers in your ears and preferably your head in the oven. But kindly refrain from posting stupid comments in threads that are contains valuable information and discussions and, as you can see from the number of posts here, is valued by quite a few members.

I am just saying according to my website. I dont know but there were more topics about updates in past few days but my rankings still go up . No keyword was dropped or penalized.
I have website 55 unique articles, no spinning for tier 1 and everything is OK now - hope it will stay like that
Also hold your hats guys google annouced many big updates this year

Good on'ya, mate. You mind sharing with us how your backlink structure looks (high PR, low PR, naked URLS, keyword anchors etc)? Just trying to figure out where google is going.

My backlinks structure:
Expired Web 2.0 with acutal pagerank - every 2-5 articles and PR of these websites is minimum 1(actual page PR not homepage) . Every of these web 2.0 was used in past so they already have authority
High PR blog comments from Fiverr - 30x PR4
Private Blog Network from Big Buddy
Well spined social bookmarks with dripfeed divided between all inner pages
Social Signals

Anchors are mixed but the most of anchors are KWs which i want to rank . Beacuse i have big website there is good diversification beacuse every article has different keyword.

My E-commerce site in .co.uk rankings got hit today for the highest niche related keyword. Went from position 3 to page 4 and slapped my traffic to a tenth of what it was. The uk search results have gone f*cking mad. 90% of SME's have been hit hard and been replaced with very old established companies inner pages, most without any backlinks. I even have f*cking harods, DIY and kwickfit above me and they don't even sell what i sell. Only positive was the page rank update but that doesnt give me $$$'s

My global rankings are still stable however have not moved for a month or so. Only a 5 month old site but its stopped at the top of page 3, high diversity in link profile but lacks high PR links. The serps for this niche in general have REALLY changed though, the classic 77% (copyscape says) spun article on a tumblr blog with no backlinks and no outbound links is now on first page. At least 5 of the first page results are now different with some sites that have dominated first page for months have got hit HARD!!

This has to be a major update, everything i type in brings up REALLY f*cked up results. Its like Google has uploaded the wrong algo file when they launched their update! GOD I HATE THEM!!!!

Im not too worried about the future though, serious marketers learn to adapt to big changes and always succeed with determination. These changes are horrible, just horrible, i knew i should have diversified my traffic sources.

Maybe backlinks are worthless now and they brought their 2 year plan for social forward to trick us.

Or it could be the idiots that used the disavow tool that gave them everything on a plate!!!

Google has really gone nuts, i typed in another of the keywords im targeting and the number 2 ranked site is keyword87867.com, no backlinks, no content, no anything. Its just one of those adsense holding pages for newly registered domains before their connected to hosting.

They must have tightened their algo too much, surely they can't keep the serps like this!!!

For one of my major sites, a day and a half ago, everything returned to normal. Traffic started to flow in and life looked good. Half way through today, the site almost fell out of google on 20 major KW again. Just insane jojo'ing. 1st pos, 208 pos, 3 pos, 145 pos, 200 pos, 1 pos, 74 pos on one of the KW since the 17th. They've gone gaga for sure.

Large Improvements and big drops - this both all the time. Can anyone confirm? Perhaps more dynamic serps with switching positions?

Not here, my latests sites are all fine and on the same positions.

Still with the drops. my biggest site which is ranking number 1 for several keywords for over 4 years.. with massive content and development is outranked by spammy websites.

What should i do ?!

It is Indeed a Google PR Update
Mostly i saw a DROP across all my Site

Well you know what that mean.. im about to get one of my unused sites and spam the **** out of it and see if it can bring in some quick cash for now...spam spam spam....:spider:

Hello On google.ro is the same situation as on google.co.uk. It started on 18th of January and again on 3rd of February. I am curious what's the situation in the rest of the Europe: google.de/fr/etc.

My Websites PR is the Same. No movement at all.

The PR update itself will NOT have affected any rankings. Google update their PR all the time - it is just the VISIBLE PR that was updated now.

However Google IS playing around with their algos in a wild, wild manner. I can see one KW jump from #40 to #3 to around #40 again in just hours. Endless cycle since the 17th...

Same thing for google.es

I've been crawling back up again by just going it social, spam the crap out of social. From #1 to #17 and now back up to #10.
