"Follow Forum?"

Such as... "Unfollow," or "Hide."

It would be a way for members to selectively quiet noisy areas they don't want to constantly see on the homepage.

Not gone work according to me.

Impressive. Now if you go to the main section of forums, you can only use that little yellow button to close ENTIRE OVERARCHING SECTIONS. So, unless there is a way to stop threads from subforums showing up on the homepage, that is what I am suggesting. A choice of stopping SPECIFIC SUBTHREADS from being included in the homepage.

Cryptocurrency as an example, is part of the Money Making section. Although...cryptocurrency could be bundled in with Adult and Gambling, because it's just a bunch of weirdos trying to get lucky.

I also couldn't care less about the giveaway section, link building marketplace, or proxies. But I'm sure you're just here because you like the sound of your keyboard, @elavmunretea

I and others have already suggested similar suggestions for the same reasons :D no luck so far but we will overcome!!!

They say 25 threads includes things... Can 25 threads exclude things also? :D

I'm looking for something more permanent @sturose , like this:
cryptoban.jpg

It's not a perfect solution, but you'll notice a LOT of the crypto threads are started by a handful of people - I've just started ignoring members that don't post about anything else and it's really cleaned up the homepage nicely so far lol

If you bothered to actually read that post & the linked thread, you would know that customized homepages was my suggestion. Exactly the same as here. ... and the 5-10 other threads that have been posted on the subject since.

It's not difficult to look a few posts back on the sub-forum to make sure that no one else has suggested this.

Your spam is arguably worse than the things you want to hide.

I knew there was a reason we kept you around! BRILLIANT!

Oh, spam? Please do showcase my "spam."

Meanwhile, I'll be busy having to skip over thread bumps like "what percent should i buy?" "shitcoin is the future" "in before ATH" "is today the day for 3x?" "ripple is the best"

There's obviously an issue, if @Zwielicht is able to delete the cumulative amount of 30 pages from a SINGLE thread due to redundant and pointless comments. Such as yours now. The interesting thing, is that instead of joining together to make a positive change, that WE BOTH WANT, you're hoping to swat down my suggestion. Is this because you want to have some sort of ownership if there is ever any change?

Z is busy merging threads in the Crypto section, as it is unnecessary spam having multiple threads about XYZ coin. You clearly took 0 effort to research if the suggestion had been made. There was literally a thread almost exactly the same as this on page 1 of the suggestions forum.

There is no reason, whatsoever, why this needed its own thread.

I asked. The answer was no. Someone else asked, ok, same answer. 5-10 more people ask, it gets a little tiring. It's not happening.

I see the issues with the Crypto forum and I'm trying to help that in the way I can, by posting a guide or two that can answer 80% of questions I see asked. Not by making the x'th thread suggesting something that has already been rejected NUMEROUS times.

The only way to convey the importance of an issue described by a population, is to have a population describe the issue. Therefor, one must consider the idea, that the more people show interest, the higher the probability it becomes a priority. This is the same concept, as how a new subforum is born. Do you follow?

So, by that logic, it's ok to have multiple threads on the same coin?

More threads = more important topic = I should read it? or does it just apply when it suits you?

I dont give a shit if theres a billion coin topics, if I'm able to unfollow the subforum. ;)

Z is... literally... the... 1...

@SensualTyrannosaurus, suggestions related to altering the homepage have been receiving the same "no" answer. More threads being opened on the topic doesn't help the cause. Perhaps if this thread had a petition attached to it, then it would've been different. I recommend that you look into @phr0zt's suggestion to ignore the handful of members who start threads in the cryptocurrency section as this will make those threads "disappear".

@elavmunretea, I was both merging threads and cleaning up old ones. You'd be surprised about how many of the old ones had redundant posts, instances of double-posting, and straight up spam that went unreported. In addition to creating threads which answer most of the questions being asked in that section, educating the new crypto members on the forum rules and reporting their posts will go a long way to improving that section and keeping it from being superfluously bumped to the homepage.

... Maybe... ;)
I'll open a new thread on this topic, with a petition attached as suggested.
"Perhaps".

Anyway, I'm supposed to close these feedback threads once I've provided a satisfactory response, so....
