The SEO industry is growing and there are plenty of money-making opportunities in the space still. One can make good money by building a niche tool. SaaS like Surfer, Frase, Mangools, etc are making good money without directly competing with Semrush and Ahrefs.

Another way to find gaps on your site is to use SEO tools to see what keywords your site is already ranking for. Then, in searching for these keywords, you can find related keywords you may not be targeting with existing content.

OP asked if there are any tools that don't have some features, so he can build one. Is not about the keyword gaps for a specific domain between SEO tools.

What are your programming skills? I have an idea for a great scrapebox (covers a limitation in Gsuggestions, not just in scrapebox) keyword shitter etc... side tool that is simple text processing with bash (linux or wsl) or python (cross platform) or if you can go deep I see a need for an image recognition tool for getting blackbox seo data on Goog zero results with tensorflow... tell me where you are in between and I will suggest something... there are plenty

As a frequent user of Semrush, I can tell you that the big issue with those types of tools is accuracy in terms of expected keyword traffic .

One of my websites, according to Semrush, shouldn't get more than 200 visitors a month, and that's pushing it.

Well, it's actually my busiest website because it gets way more traffic than that, and that traffic makes money.

By the same token, Semrush tells me that one of my sites is supposed to get a thousand or more visitors per day.

But this website isn't getting that.

Granted that it's still in the Sandbox , according to Semrush, it should already be raking in all that traffic, but it is not; far from it.

If you can fix that gap then you may have a blockbuster piece of SEO software in your hands.

Good luck, though, because it's a tough business to get into.

Another gap in SEO tool that you might want to consider is keyword scraping .

At least, as far as I'm concerned, there's a big demand for tools that will automatically scrape Google autosuggest and select keywords.

These are suggested in question form but don't have keyword difficulty or even monthly search volume projections from the big SEO tools.

When I see that combination in a question or a phrase, I get excited because it tells me that my competitors will probably not touch it with a 10-foot pole.

If I rank for that keyword, all that traffic is mine.

So there's quite a bit of interest in that as far as I'm concerned.

Based on some of the threads I've seen in this forum, other publishers would also be interested.
