I think I might have to order that and at least check if it helps with the over heating which could be causing the BSOD.I had a laptop with that overheating issue where I would get a BSOD. I bought one of those laptop cooling pads and cleaned out the fans, which allowed me to at least use the computer without it getting too hot.
Linux doesn't get BSOD, but it gets kernel panic if there's an issue.
I used WhoCrashed and got "driver irql not less or equal" upon Googling, it says it could mean many things like ram issue, drivers etcEach time BSOD occurs, Windows creates a dump file with the informations of faulting modules/drivers.
Just analyze it with tools like BlueScreenView - https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/bluescreenview/
Search for the error code to identify the problem source, then fix it
I'll read up more on this , thanks!i mean get a live linux cd and on grub bottloader screen, do a hardware test. If everything is working fine then install linux. I have an old pc which runs chromeos or linux cery smoothly but when i install windows and fire up any software like chrome or a gamw then it crashes to bsod.
I only have one stick of ram here too, I wish I knew for sure so then I could just buy a stick and use it... Error code is just "driver irql not less or equal"I just had to replace brand new ram cause of 1 bad stick. It kept bsod with all kinds of errors that pointed everywhere. Does it give an error code when it blue screens?
