Is the messenger Dust safe?

Yes, I agree.
Recently I started to use Adamant, but I don't like it's user interface.
For me it's difficult to use, but I think it's the only one safe currently.
Did you test his safety?

Your best bet is the xmpp protocol with either an OTR plugin or the newer OMEMO encryption protocol baked in. If you run your own xmpp server then you're in complete control of your chats and can choose not to keep any logs, etc. The OTR or OMEMO guarantees that only you and the other party in the conversation can see the content of the conversation. There isn't a need to keep looking for new "privacy focused messengers" if you go this route since xmpp is a standard protocol.

I hear about such a protocol for the first time. What should I do to get started?

Nope.
I just learned much about its security and it seems to be the most reliable in comparison with other encrypted messengers.
User-friendly interface is required with constant use.

You said the inconvenience of using adamant. We can't expect it becomes popular for this reason.

Yes, but I hope developers will improve its user interface.
At least they have to if they want to grow usage.

I also hope so. What should we do now? Do you want to try Dust?

If you use encrypted chats in Telegram or even WhatsApp, you can be sure of privacy.
Or you think it's all scam?

WhatsApp is by far the least trust worthy of all messaging applications. Do you really think with all of the security breaches that Facebook has had (keeping in mind, FB owns WhatsApp) that their data hasn't been breached, too? I can guarantee you that it has and that they're keeping it quiet in fear of future repercussions

You're right. What can you expect in return? What do you use yourself?

I used telegram until I found out that there was an exploit in it backing up to the iCloud - so whenever I would try and get rid of the exploit, it would be automatically backed up into the cloud and when I would restore it came right back into the phone.....

Now I just simply use iMessage....you can't really rely on apps (for the phone anyway), so I give my trust to Apple's message encryption.

I tend to trust Apple. What do you do when your buddy uses an android?

Do you think iMessage encrypted?
Well, at least you are right about apps.
