Is site flipping dead?

In my experience (I've flipped many sites on Flippa, I also have around 50 sites right now in my PBN). I've decided it's best not to flip in the long run. Why flip something that's turning a profit (as many others have said in the thread above).

My formula is as follows:

1) Only buy expired domains, using a service like FreshDrop to identify the right domains. I target PR2+ but many of my domains are PR5+. Most already have a DMOZ link as well, I look for this.

2) Hand write a few excellent articles to get the site started, then if you have a good spinner you can setup content to post automatically moving forward, but never depend on spun content only, you need some good unique and original content, the more you have is the better off you'll be.

3) Submit to search engines and do some guest blog posting preferably only other sites you own. Hate to say it but most of the blog networks here on BHW will get you great results for a few months and then out of no where your rankings will drop. This is because blog networks with tons of outgoing links end up being discovered and devalued by the big G.

4) Monetize with Adsense, Clickbank/Affiliate Products, Amazon Affiliate Products, whatever fits your niche.

Hang on to the site. You will make money from ads and you can also use the sites for your own private SEO purposes. Just make sure not to host all your sites on one host. I have 4 hosting accounts with multiple IP's per account, works okay for my purposes but I do need a much larger PBN to accomplish most of the goals I am aiming for.

If someone is selling a site that makes $1000/month for $1000, it's 100% a scam. Businesses sell for 3x their annual net profit all the time. You'll know a good opportunity when you see one but they're few and far between.

High quality will always have a huge market, churn and burn sites don't sell like they used to. People know now that it's just a matter of time till the site is smacked by google.
