If I had a dollar every time I come across a Reddit thread, a Facebook group discussion, or a forum thread about SEO being dead, I'd be a multibillionaire now.
No joke!
SEO is supposed to have died in 2000 or even earlier, but it is still alive.
Now I know a lot of people are shocked to read this because we're in the age of AI.
We're in the age of responsive AI-generated video.
We are in the age of DeepSeek.
How the fuck is SEO still alive?
Well, SEO is kind of like that Terminator model from the Terminator series.
Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator series is older and clunkier so he is bound by flesh.
He gets wounded.
He can get crippled.
The newer version is the Terminator version which can be broken into millions of pieces and then piece itself back together into liquid form and then eventually transformed into a robot once again.
That's what AI-impacted SEO reminds me of.
SEO will never go away.
SEO is really just all about manipulating search results in a way that either aligns with Google's corporate guidelines and ethical framework or it doesn't.
At the end of the day, you're looking for results.
If that's how you define SEO, SEO will still be here.
A lot of companies now are gaming the recommendations made by AI answers that appear at the top of every search.
So yes, SEO is still alive, but it's AI-aided SEO.
It is generated answer optimization.
Whatever you label it, it's still there — kind of like that Terminator robot.
Adjust your business strategies accordingly.
