I am quite confused about SEO, as these days I see many people are going after PPC, SMM etc. Even those old concept of high PR backlinks, keyword rich contents are almost gone. So, can you guys give me a clear picture about SEO.

What shall be our strategy to bring traffic into our websites in 2015?

As long as a search engine exists SEO will always be alive.

Because everyone is just lining up to tell you their SEO strategy.

People ask this same bloody question every year.

SEO is not dead, it just becomes more difficult with each year and algorithm update.

For some of us, SEO probably is dead. Because we got tired of the changing game and moved on to something else.

For others, it appears to be alive and very well, and I'm sure many of them do quite well with it.

What's OP?

By the way, I too believe SEO is tough now. But wondering, which one will be more profitable, SEO or other tactics like social media marketing, PPC etc.

Sorry, I registered here 3 years back but never used it in that way so not much familiar with these short forms like OP. Anyways, my question is how to generate more traffic? What shall be our strategies for future?

There's a large portion of BHW users that does SEO to generate traffic. Knowing that should already tell you whether or not SEO is dead. ;)

Dead? Seriously? LOL.
You just heard to your enemies... its lie :)
as the search engines is alive, SEO is alive.

Steve Jobs telling it how it is.

By copying what everyone else has said before him. Loving your yearly post count by the way, wouldn't imagine it needs that desperate bumping.

I've also noticed more people on this forum just regurgitating what the first few posters said. There were forum members doing it before, but the number of forum members doing it has increased lately.

It's true that a lot of people focus on Social Media etc. but it can never hurt to have high rankings in google. Infact it will get you a lot of targeted visitors that probably have more value than the Social Media ones.
