Is SEO dead?

Its definitely Not dead, most of us are here to learn new strategies, methods etc.. if it were dead there would be no need

Nothing has changed, you can still spam a website to the top of Google, the proof is all over the first page in Google.

You can't kill something that was already dead. The algo changes just made it more clear that "optimization" itself is viewed as web spam by Google. What G says it supports is NATURAL looking content, keyword placement, links and such. A hyper-optimized site probably looks too artificial to be ranked under the new formulas, or else will be de-ranked after a time.

Nowadays you have to disguise the optimization to make it look "natural" in order to get by. WH SEO, as a result, has to do the same thing as BH SEO, namely hide, in order to avoid penalty or re-ranking. WH is dead, we're all BHers now!

Hello Member,
SEO is not dead. search engine optimization is getting very popular in many countries day by day.
Thanks and Take care

That`s a short example what the SEO (and ONLY the SEO) does:

So, what do You think? Is the SEO dead?
[comming soon on BHW, I just need few more examples of our work]

If the point of the charts were to show "only" SEO ranking strategies achieve the result of improving a sites ranking in the search engines, duh, yes, it improves rankings. But do the rankings stay high? Doesn't Google de-rank and sandbox? And most importantly, there other ways to get targeted traffic, other than ranking sites. Many get as much traffic from youtube or yahoo answers et al as they do from SEO, and it's more stable to boot, as it's less dependent on a rank position.

When I had websites and was just using google for traffic, I got most of my traffic by just posting alot of articles and images. I never focused on seo,yet I was getting a ton of hits from searches that maybe only once a week a person would search.

If you're my competitor: Yes, yes indeed SEO is dead.

If you're just asking to ask: lol, SEO thrives. You just have to change your methods when google tries to make you it's B*tch :D

The new algo makes the barrier to entry a lot higher than it was 5 years ago.
