I am not joking. This is an serious question. After almost 6 years, I've simply lost motivation because everything is down. No results , HCU ruined me and nothing ever recovered.

I've just decided to sit down and check situation and it is so depressive. A keyword that I was ranking for years in top 10 is not there. One or few page sites with zero trust flow are there instead.

I totally relate, I’ve seen it happen to others too, and it’s tough these days. It's good to take a step back, see what those other sites are doing differently, and when you're ready, try to adjust your strategy to fit Google’s new focus, I personally think SEO isn't dead yet.

You need to do all possible things including product development to do well in SEO today.

Think about increasing value from a single customer. You can make a lot of money if you learn how to sell properly.

The truth is 1000 visitors can make you $1000. But if you have weak offers, you'll make $10. ;)

Also try YouTube search. It's like Google but instant. You'll like it.

No, SEO is definitely not dead! While the landscape is constantly evolving, especially with advancements in AI and changes in search engine algorithms, SEO remains a crucial component of digital marketing.
Here are a few reasons why:
1. Search Engine Updates: Search engines regularly update their algorithms to improve user experience. Staying on top of these changes is key to maintaining good rankings.
2. User Behavior: As long as people use search engines to find information, products, or services, SEO will be relevant. Understanding user intent is more important than ever.
3. Content Quality: Quality content is still king. Websites that provide valuable, well-structured, and relevant content will continue to perform well.
4. Local and Mobile Search: The importance of local SEO and mobile optimization is growing, as more users search for services on their smartphones
And I think maybe your competitors are doing better than you so losing your top positions is also a possibility.

Yep... pretty much dead.

Have u ever ask yourself:

Is my content truly answering the user’s questions? Is it offering unique insights and value? Does it focus too much on SEO metrics rather than providing a user-centric experience?

Review your site’s content based on the guidelines Google introduced with the HCU. Focus on removing or rewriting content that might be seen as thin, redundant, or not directly addressing the user's intent.

The old 'classic' SEO is dead.

Simply using H1, H2, keywords and tons of backlinks won’t get you to the 1st position anymore. High-quality and RELEVANT content combined with high-quality backlinks is what really matters now.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

SEO is a constantly evolving industry, requiring people to continuously update themselves and optimize their websites accordingly.

Service websites are still doing well and quite easy to rank , content websites is dead and waste of time .

That is why you should have diversified income sources. When you are at your peak with seo earnings, you should have invested that money in other methods . It should be a lesson for future work setup.

I love tjis perspective, everyone quitting SEO because their ”can dogs eat X?”-articles don’t perform anymore.

Bring some actual value to the world and your site(s) will thrive. You can win with 0 links and good content still, and you will still do it in 5 years. The thing is though; sites hit by HCU most of the time are bad. I’m not saying 100% of the time, but most of the time. Look at what’s actually wrong and iterate on the things that still work instead of pushing bullshit in the SERPs that AI can replace.

Why should you get money for answering ”how much does a cat eat?” when AI can answer it for free? Have some functionality, value and ACTUAL first hand experience in your content and I guarantee you will win within 6 months.

Backlink is important but I know many websites. They don't have any backlink but always on the way to high. I dont understand how can be.??

Were you able to rank just any site in last six months or had success with just only one site? It might be possible that you do not have idea about the current working methods in seo. So, if you update your skills, you can still rank same site.

Knowing your audience in SEO is the factor many SEOs miss out on making your content based on how your user toddles around your site matter , fulfilling the search intent which means no other queries required for them to for the same question because your content provides easy readability and does not get them pitted out in the keyword rut, change your structure learn to adapt according to the algorithms.
