I've just decided to sit down and check situation and it is so depressive. A keyword that I was ranking for years in top 10 is not there. One or few page sites with zero trust flow are there instead.

I totally relate, I’ve seen it happen to others too, and it’s tough these days. It's good to take a step back, see what those other sites are doing differently, and when you're ready, try to adjust your strategy to fit Google’s new focus, I personally think SEO isn't dead yet.

Is my content truly answering the user’s questions?Is it offering unique insights and value? Does it focus too much on SEO metrics rather than providing a user-centric experience?

That is why you should have diversified income sources. When you are at your peak with seo earnings, you should have invested that money in other methods . It should be a lesson for future work setup.

I love tjis perspective, everyone quitting SEO because their ”can dogs eat X?”-articles don’t perform anymore.

Bring some actual value to the world and your site(s) will thrive. You can win with 0 links and good content still, and you will still do it in 5 years. The thing is though; sites hit by HCU most of the time are bad. I’m not saying 100% of the time, but most of the time. Look at what’s actually wrong and iterate on the things that still work instead of pushing bullshit in the SERPs that AI can replace.

Why should you get money for answering ”how much does a cat eat?” when AI can answer it for free? Have some functionality, value and ACTUAL first hand experience in your content and I guarantee you will win within 6 months.

Were you able to rank just any site in last six months or had success with just only one site? It might be possible that you do not have idea about the current working methods in seo. So, if you update your skills, you can still rank same site.
