Dude, this is HAF section where you look for freelancer and pay for a job, not the section to ask for hints. I hope this thread is moved to the right place @BassTrackerBoatsI have submitted over 10 proposals, not even a interview got.
Anybody with upwork experience can give me some hints to kick-off ?

Same! Also; I know how it is not to have any reviews so I try helping some people out. This is going to sound really stupid, but I sometimes deliberately pick freelancers without any reviews because I know they're going to be eager to get the work done quickly in order to get a good review, besides, their rates are usually a lot lower. It's totally possible to get started without reviews, after all, that's what I did when I first got started
Create a good profile and send the best proposals possible and you'll eventually land your first client.
Yes, unfortunately, in Upwork, people are going to judge based on your previous jobs and reviews.
That's the problem so if someone wants to use reviews to get a boost it's better to deliver quality. Why is this unfortunate? I am currently hiring somebody on Fiverr who I paid $800 to build a website. He asked me to divide the job into 4 parts to farm reviews, he exceeded the deadline twice and does not follow my instructions all too well.
This is not the quality I am looking forward to working with.
