The other day I noticed that my ears ring. It sounds just like the high pitch electrical noise made when a computer is running or thinking,,, in fact I thought the noise was coming from the computer in my room or the modem or something, but one night I couldn't sleep so I unplugged everything and that's when I noticed that the noise was not from my computer but a ringing coming from my ears. It also sounds similar to watching a scrambled cable tv channel (not the black and white snowstorm but the scrambled waves where you can sometimes kind of see the picture in between the scamble) or like the humming of insects in the summer time .... I'm on my computer (laptop) all day everyday and I was thinking that maybe the high pitch electrical noise is either damaging my ears or maybe it's making it ring like when you come home from a concert and you can still hear the music,, except instead of music I can still hear the computer buzz. I have tried to not use my computer, but only for 24hrs and this did not help. I guess I could try earplugs, but I make a lot of phone calls while I'm working so this is not really a good solution for me :/ (I guess I can still try earplugs when I'm working at night, I will update with results in a week or two..) I thought I would ask here if anyone else experiences this since most members here are on their computers a lot. Maybe it will help me figure out what is causing my ears to ring ,,,, It could also be tinnitus, but the ringing is so very similar to the computer noise that my first thought is that the computer is causing it. Thanks in advance for any replies.
