Programmatic pages can scale quickly, but I’m unsure if they’re still safe long-term. What’s your experience with this approach?

Creating large number of pages and spamming google with large number of pages is a blackhat statergy not a whitehat. Google treats it as spam and deindexes such pages.
So you gotta treat programmatic seo as a blackhat statergy to begin with.
1 statergy is index rank and bank before deindex.

For websites with millions of pages where manual optimization is tedious "Progammatic" approach is best suitable. But with current new AI trends there is a need to create topical authority and good backlinks from domains with authority. Progammatic as well as topical authority will help in long term.

Programmatic seo is still safe in 2026 if done properly with a white hat approach. The main thing is to focus on quality, not just scale. Each page should have useful, unique content that actually helps users and matches their search intent. If you just create hundreds of low quality or duplicate pages, Google will likely ignore them or even reduce your rankings. But when done right with real value and proper structure, programmatic seo can still work very well for long term growth.

It can still work if the pages actually provide useful and unique information. The main risk is creating too many thin or similar pages, which usually does not hold up long term. Keeping quality and user value in mind seems to make programmatic SEO safer.

Programmatic SEO is safe if you focus on data-rich utility instead of just keyword-stuffing templates
as long as the page solves a specific user problem, google won't flag it as spam.

Programmatic seo works if your content is valuable and unique.Avoid thin or auto generated pages to prevent deindexing.Focus on quality content, real data, and strong internal links.

Still work if done right. Needs unique value + Strong Structure, Not thin/duplicate pages. Otherwise won't last long.

programmatic seo is fine if the pages actually provide unique value. the problem is most people generate thousands of thin pages with barely any difference between them and google catches that fast
