I'm not too familiar with pinterest, but it would really fit the niche of a project I'm working on given its demographics. I was wondering if paying for pins in popular, well-maintained boards would be worth it or if I should just use their native marketing platform.

If I look for influencers, how should I go about contacting owners of boards in the niche I want? The mechanics of pinterest seem more opaque than other social media sites, but to be fair, I don't spend much time on there.

Pinterest is a funny platform, there's almost no guarantee that the followers of said board are going to see the pin you paid for, but if you'll pay for multiple pins shared over a period of time, then there's a chance.

Personally I wouldn't pay a pinterest account just so they share my pin, no, not worth it all.

I've pinterest for a while, even followers do not matter much.

I don't think that followers really matter, your pins get buried in their news feed I believe. You just need an eye catching picture and optimize it so it ranks for specific keywords. Most of the times, pins don't really get traffic right away. They either get buried forever or drive high trafic constantly after a while. I never had good traffic right away, so I don't think paying for a pin is useful at all. I'm not an expert though, there might be a secret formula that works effectively for most pins.

It's more important to have more views and repins. Also, try posting regularly - you can use Tailwind for that. In that case, you'd be able to grow your profile pretty quickly
