the reason you pay ebay fees is because ebay brings you the customer

onlyfans is a platform where naked women can make money. but the naked woman needs to attract clients to her profile. onlyfans won't do shit to bring customers. so what exactly is onlyfans charging commissions for? they just charge the customer's credit card? you can just sign up for a credit card processor and pay 2.9%

Really strange take. OnlyFans is a social media platform and subscription management platform. They definitely bring shit to customers. It took me 5 seconds to sign in and see that they are recommending their popular users to me to follow, which helps them grow. They also do partnerships with some members.

Most people trust brands. It will be hard for a horny guy to trust your website, instead of onlyfans. So, conversion rate won't be the same. But basically, just what onlyfans is a hosting company and a merchant.

I have to agree with the brand perspective here...

It's just like the difference between going to a mall to shop vs going to a bunch of scattered small specialty shops, which is by the way how malls kill off small businesses IRL. :anyway:

So "OF" in this case is the mall, also you can probably contest refunds from there.

the alterative to OF, would probably just do your own patreon, but patreon has cracked down on certain "content creators" in the past, that's why they probably did OF...

There also exists payment alternatives to Patreon like subscribestar, which is more loose in their rules I think.

That is sadly very few people who get chosen and you must be in good terms with right people, live in specific locations and create fluff content that they can add to frontpage. The recommendation box is very small and it definetly does not cater to amount of creators they have.
