It seems like Myspace paved the way for the whole social media revolution, but is it still relevant? Even with the whole relaunch it just didn't seem to stick.

Whenever I tried to access Myspace I was redirected to Google. Gave up on it years ago.

The new Myspace, which first came online in late 2012 as a music-discovery service with the support of Justin Timberlake, officially launches to the public today. At the same time, the old capital-S MySpace is no more, departing for that big social network in the sky (although all user content will still exist on the new site)

Is it good for IM?
No.

Is it a great website?
Yes. If only the masses would stop being so controlled by the shitty, privacy invading website that is facebook.

but when you're talking about celeb, music, movies, hollywood. Myspace is good in telling these stories...

I agree with AZEDS, facebook is way out of control with wanting too much private info. And I think Myspace has too many issues to keep anyone's attention long enough to get its original audience back.

myspace tried hard to make a come back but i dont think it matters any more.. although it was one of those initiating social media sites

It lost Traffic long time ago. I barely see anyone using myspace anymore

Not really, it almost doesn't get any traffic at all in comparison to the other social networks. There shouldn't be a myspace section in BHW anymore.

Hi,

Myspace is a dead. Its glory only in it's past. But Thanks to myspace as a pioneer in social networking.

This sounds right. The new MySpace has become a place for performing artists. I think it's become a niche social market now, which can be a good thing for the right person.

What my friend told me a while ago about stocks I think applies to a lot of business and life decisions: Would you personally use it/buy it (the product)? If not, then don't invest time/money in it.

Sorry but you'd have to be a fool to not be capitalizing on Myspace. It's literally undercover right now to Marketers. I rarely ever encounter a fellow marketer and when I do, I just tip my hat to him/her. FREE MONEY.

I hate Facebook! Social networking my ass when you cannot meet new people without
them feeling like you are a stalker. I liked Myspace better but those days are long gone so
it is a resounding NO myspace is not worth a shit now days.
